Day 3 of Event #64: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold'em gets underway at noon local time. Out of a five-figure field of 10,185 entrants, only 91 competitors return to the felt where they will continue to battle it out.

Starting the day as the chip leader will be Natalia Panchenko with a stack of 11,870,000. Closely trailing her is WSOP bracelet winner Scott Davies (11,855,000). Davies has over $1,370,000 in earnings at the WSOP and will try to add another big score to his resume.

Ryan Leng rounds up the top three with 11,765,000. Leng owns a bracelet and well and will be looking to add another one to his collection. Leng also has an impressive resume at the WSOP with over $1,280,000 in total cashes. He has secured nine cashes this summer and will be looking to reach his first final table of the 2019 WSOP. 888poker Ambassador Vivian Saliba sits in fourth with 9,565,000.

Other notables advancing alongside the chip leaders include champions Mark Radoja (7,170,000), Tommy Nguyen (5,885,000), David Williams (2,070,000), and Allyn Schulman (1,680,000).

The remaining players are all guaranteed a minimum of $6,957 but all eyes will be on the first-place prize of $888,888 as well as the shiny WSOP gold bracelet.

Today's plan is to play down to eight players with a 15-minute break every two levels and a 60-minute break after Level 6, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Action will resume at Level 30 with blinds of 60,000/120,000 with a 120,000 ante.

Gabriel Muzzio limped on the button and Vivian Saliba raised to 640,000 from the small blind. Muzzio added the remainder to call.

The dealer fanned a flop of {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Saliba bet 400,000. Muzzio called.

The turn brought the {a-Spades} and Saliba continued with another bet of 600,000. Muzzio called once more.

The {10-Diamonds} completed the board and this time, both players checked. Saliba tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Muzzio sent his hand to the muck.

Mario Hofler

With over 10,000,000 in the middle and {3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Colin Phoenix checked to his neighbor Mario Hofler who announced he was all in for an effective 4,500,000 or so. Phoenix called right away but he found himself in a bad spot.

Hofler showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Phoenix could only hope for a magic two-outer as he tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The {a-Spades} river sealed Hofler's win and Phoenix was headed to the payout desk while Hofler moved over 32 million in chips.

Gediminas Wins Crucial Flip Against Darie

Level 38 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Uselis Gediminas
Uselis Gediminas

Vlad Darie raised to 1,600,000 in the hijack and Uselis Gediminas made it 6,000,000 from the small blind.

Darie asked his opponent to clear the view of his stack and then he jammed all in. Gediminas wasn't particularly pleased but he called for his 26,325,000 anyway.

Darie: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Gediminas: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

It looked good for Darie when the {a-Hearts} appeared in the window, but he'd soon find out that the flop was nearly as horrible as it gets as the dealer rolled out {10-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The {8-Clubs} turn secured the double for Gediminas and he dragged the pot after the {4-Hearts} hit the felt.
