Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu wins Event #78: $1,000 Turbo 8-Handed

The latest online WSOP Event is in the books after just seven hours of play. Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu bested a field of 1,910 to take home his first WSOP Bracelet, along with nearly $260,000 in prize money, as well as a WSOP Europe package.

At the start of the final table, Niko "niNohR" Koop held the chip lead with over 11 million chips, while eventual winner Hacialioglu started as the second shortest stack, with just over 2.6 million.

Tuen "FudGuy" Bui would be next to bust out when he got his final chips in with Ace-Queen, but he ran straight into the pocket aces of Jargo Alavali. The board brought no help for Bui, who was the first casualty of the final table.

Following the elimination of Soo Jo Kim in seventh place, it was time for Hacialioglu to start to make his comeback, as he would go on to get every elimination from there. First, he would bust "Andriy "smbcall911" Lyubovetskiy in sixth place in a blind vs. blind confrontation.

Next, Hacialioglu would have to get quite lucky, as he ran into the pocket aces of Jargo "bungakat" Alavali holding just Queen-Ten. However, Hacialioglu would flop top pair and a straight draw, and hit that straight on the river.

Niko "niNohR" Koop was next to be on the end of Hacialioglu's ax. He would have to come from behind again in this one, as his {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} came back against the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} of Koop, after spiking a king on the turn.

Not long after that, Tim "TMay420" West, who was the short stack throughout the whole final table, finally fell off the ladder, as he bowed out in third. On his final hand, West was flipping, with {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} against the {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} of Hacialioglu. The board came down {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, giving Hacialioglu a straight.

Hacialioglu brought a big lead into heads up play with over 36 million to the 12 million of Robin "Kabuzzi" Berggren. They would only play a few hands before a classic coin flip, with Hacialioglu's Ace-Queen besting the pocket sevens of Berggren.

Congratulations again to Adnan Hacialioglu for his incredible showing. Again, he will take home $259,842, the WSOP bracelet, and the WSOP Europe package.

Robin "Kabuzzi" Berggren Eliminated in 2nd Place ($197,274)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu started heads up play with a big chip lead, and it would only take him a few hands to seal the deal. The last hand was a classic coin flip, as Berggren held {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, against the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Hacialioglu. An ace came right on the flop, and no two outer would come for Berggren.

He will take home over $197,000 for his efforts, but the first place prize of $259,842, and the WSOP bracelet, will go home with Hacialioglu. Stay tuned for a full recap to be posted shortly.

Tim "TMay420" West Eliminated in 3rd Place ($143,162.05)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Tim "TMay420" West survived a number of double ups, both from ahead and from behind, but his luck finally ran out, as he just busted in third. On his final hand, West got it in with {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, and he was flipping against the {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} of Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu. The flop of {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} gave West some more outs, but the board finished out {5-Hearts} and {2-Hearts}, giving Hacialioglu an unncessary straight, and also getting us to heads up play!

Niko "niNohR" Koop Eliminated in 4th Place ($103,892.64)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Niko "niNohR" Koop was one of the big stacks throughout the final table, but he recently faltered a bit, and just busted out in fourth place. Koop got his chips in good, holding {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu. The flop of {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} missed both players, but the {k-Spades} on the turn changed everything. Only an ace would do for Koop now, but the {5-Hearts} came instead.

Jargo "bungakat" Alavali Eliminated in 5th Place ($75,394.83)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Jargo "bungakat" Alavali looked to be in great shape to double up, as he got his stack in the middle holding pocket aces, against the {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu. However, Hacialioglu smashed the flop of {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, giving him top pair and an open ended straight draw. The {7-Hearts} on the turn didn't change anything, but the {k-Clubs} on the river sure did. Alavali busts in fifth, taking home over $75,000.

Andriy "smbcall911" Lyubovetskiy Eliminated in 6th Place ($54,713.88)

Level 40 : 140,000/280,000, 35,000 ante

Action folded to one of the shorter stacks, Andriy "smbcall911" Lyubovetskiy, in the small blind, and he moved all in. Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu called in the big blind with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and he was ahead of the {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}. The flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} left Lyubovetskiy all but dead, and another king on the turn sealed the hand.

Lyubovetskiy will have to settle for $54,713.88, and just five players remain now.

Soo Jo "choleeek89" Kim Eliminated in 7th Place ($39,705.79)

Level 39 : 120,000/240,000, 30,000 ante

The action kicked off with Adnan "Bolazar" Hacialioglu raising it up, and big stack Niko "niNohR" Koop three bet to 1,601,000. Next to act, Soo Jo "choleeek89" Kim moved all in for 3,232,456. Hacialioglu folded, but Koop called with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. He was dominated by the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Kim, but Koop would flop some outs on the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop. The {10-Diamonds} turn shot Koop into the lead, and Kim wasn't able to catch up on the river.

Tuen "FudGuy" Bui Eliminated in 8th Place ($28,814.44)

Level 39 : 120,000/240,000, 30,000 ante

Tuen "FudGuy" Bui moved all in from the button for over 2,800,000, but unfortunately for him, big stack Jargo "bungakat" Alavali woke up with pocket aces in the big blind. He was dominating the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Bui, and the flop of {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} left Bui drawing all but dead. The {3-Diamonds} turn brought him some chop possibilities, but a nine on the river brought no such chop.

Bui will have to settle for nearly $29,000 for his eight place showing.

Ichinose Crosses the Five Million Chip Marker

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Kosei Ichinose has been relentlessly aggressive over the last hour, and his stack has been soaring as a result. In the latest hand, Tom "Pik00rs" Delaine raised to 100,000, and Ichinose came in with a three bet to 273,990 from the button. Delaine thought for a bit before shoving all in for his final 900,000, and Ichinose was quick to call with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Delaine had just {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}, and while both players would flop two pair, a king on the turn meant that only a queen would work for Delaine.

A four came instead, and in a flash, Ichinose is up to over five million, and holds a nice lead over the field now.

Paredes Busts Pires In Million Chip Pot

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Following an under the gun raise from Daniel "t@rz@n" Paredes, Eduardo Pires moved all in for over 500,000. Paredes called to put him at risk with pocket jacks, and he was surely happy to see that he had the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} of Pires dominated . The board ran down ten high, and the jacks held to send Paredes back to the top of the chip counts.
