Garrett Doubles With Sixes

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bryan Garrett raised to 125,000 from the cutoff. James Barnett jammed all in from the big blind.

Garrett thought it over for a while before he called and turned over the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} while Barnett had the {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

The flop came the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The turn was the {3-Spades} to miss Barnett again and the river was the {q-Diamonds} to secure the double up for Barnett.

Jack Behrens raised to 180,000 from the hijack and James Barnett called from the big blind.

The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Barnett checked over to Behrens. "300," he announced as he put in a bet of 300,000.

"You like betting, don't you," Barnett asked before folding. Behrens showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and moved up to 1,300,000.

Barnett Wins Big Flip vs Schmidt

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bobby Schmidt raised to 125,000 from the cutoff. James Barnett three-bet to 325,000 from the button. It folded back to Schmidt who four-bet jammed all in. Barnett looked around and shifted in his seat for several moments before spiking the chips in the middle for the call.

It was a huge coin flip as Schmidt had the bigger stack and the slight lead with the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} while Barnett had the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

The flop connected with Barnett though as it came the {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The turn was the {10-Spades} and the river came the {j-Clubs} to solidify the massive double for Barnett and leave Schmidt short.

Leo Abbe raised to 225,000 from early position. Chris Minton moved all in from the button.

"I don't like it but I call" said Abbe and turned over the {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, which was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Minton.

But there was a ten in the window as the flop came the {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the rver came the {j-Diamonds}.

The chip stacks were very close and it was counted out to confirm that Minton was covered and gone in seventh place.

Behrens Counterfeits Chang to Double

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jack Behrens was second to act pre-flop and put in a raise to 250,000. Danny Chang put him all in from the big blind and Behrens called.

Jack Behrens: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Danny Chang: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to give Behrens two pair with an ace kicker, counterfeiting Chang's pocket fives.

Behrens was all in for 960,000 and doubled to around two million.

Bobby Schmidt Eliminated in 6th Place ($6,069)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Bobby Schmidt
Bobby Schmidt

Bobby Schmidt and James Barnett got into a pre-flop raising war that ended with Schmidt all in for his tournament life.

He showed {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and needed to win a race against the {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} of Barnett. The {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} gave Barnett a set and Schmidt was eliminated in sixth place, earning $6,069.

With that pot, Barnett has taken a commanding chip lead with 3,300,000.
