Bunch Finds The River

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
John Bunch
John Bunch

John Bunch, from the big blind, three-bet an open by Anh Van Nguyen from the button and Nguyen called.

The flop came down {k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Nguyen called a bet from Bunch.

The action remained the same on the {6-Spades} and the {a-Spades} river and Bunch showed down {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of aces. It was good and Nguyen mucked.

Bronshtein Wins A Big One

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Yuval Bronshtein
Yuval Bronshtein

Yuval Bronshtein raised the button and was three bet from Tony Nasr in the small blind. Bronshtein called to see a flop.

The flop came down {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Bronshtein called a bet from Nasr.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Nasr's bet was responded to with a raise from Bronshtein, which Nasr called.

The river came a {k-Hearts} and Nasr check-called a bet from Bronshtein who turned over {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a flopped set of twos. Nasr flipped his hand over briefly to reveal {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} before tossing his hand into the muck.

Mike Lancaster Eliminated in 10th Place ($7,299)

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Mike Lancaster
Mike Lancaster

Mike Lancaster raised from early position and Zachary Gruneberg re-raised from the hijack. Action folded back to Lancaster who jammed in the rest of his stack and Gruneberg called.

Mike Lancaster: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Zachary Gruneberg: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Lancaster was looking for help but got none on the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop. The {4-Diamonds} turn left him looking for a river ten, but the board completed with the {7-Hearts}, knocking him out of the tournament.

Cicconi Shows Quads Twice In One Orbit

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Guy Cicconi
Guy Cicconi

In an earlier hand, Guy Cicconi showed quad kings when it was folded to him, and shortly after he was involved in a pot with Kevin Erickson.

The action was picked up on the flop of {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} where Cicconi called a bet from Erickson.

The turn {10-Clubs} also went bet-call, but the river of the {q-Diamonds} went a bet from Erickson and a raise from Cicconi. Erickson folded and Cicconi showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for quad tens.

McCormick Finds Ace to Double

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Tom McCormick raised from middle position and Ian Glycenfer re-raised from the cutoff. Action folded back to McCormick who called off the rest of his stack.

Tom McCormick: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Ian Glycenfer: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

McCormick was looking for an ace and didn't find it on the {4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. However, the {a-Hearts} hit the felt on the turn to put him ahead and the {j-Diamonds} completed the board to confirm the double.

After the hand, Yuval Bronshtein mentioned that he didn't want to tell McCormick during the hand but he had also folded an ace, making McCormick's double even more unlikely.
