Rubinstein Eliminated by Siegel

Level 11

Razz

Jordan Siegel: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{9-}{k-}{5-} / {x-}
Donny Rubinstein: {x-}{x-} / {3-}{8-}{10-}{4-} / {x-}
Eli Elezra: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{4-}{6-}{8-} / {x-}

Jordan Siegel bet fourth while Donny Rubinstein was already at risk and Eli Elezra came along. Elezra bet fifth to get a call and they then checked down sixth and seventh. Rubinstein showed a number ten while Elezra had {7-}{7-}{3-} for two pair and an eighty-seven. Siegel had the best of it with {j-}{7-}{2-} for the superior low and Rubinstein headed to the rail.

Seven Card Stud

Max Pescatori: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{x-} / {q-Diamonds}
Dustin Dirksen: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts} / {7-}

Max Pescatori bet fifth street and Dustin Dirksen called with few chips behind to then see Pescatori check-call the all-in of Dirksen on sixth. Pescatori had a four-card flush and pair of fours while Dirksen tabled a pair of eights. Seventh gave Pescatori a pair of queens and Dirksen bricked with a blank seven.

Lee Eliminated by Bui

Level 11

Seven Card Stud

Michael Lee: {q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Todd Bui: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The cards were already mashed together and exposed as Michael Lee saw his hopes with a pair of aces vanish. Todd Bui had the winning hand in eights and tens, which he apparently made on seventh street.

At almost the same time, Drew Boyett was eliminated on a different table and the next table broke as the field dropped to around 144 players remaining.

Thorpe Stays Alive

Level 11

Seven Card Stud

"Just write down that Mike Thorpe fucks," another player remarked while David Moskowitz joked that he had won the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

The exact opposite was rather the case as Thorpe doubled for a mere 8,000 against big stack Vincas Tamasauskas failed to deal the final blow.

Mike Thorpe: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} / {9-Spades}
Vincas Tamasauskas: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} / {2-Diamonds}

Tamasauskas ended up with tens up while Thorpe made a set of sixes to double.

Gathy Takes From Fleck

Level 11

Seven Card Stud

Michael Gathy: {x-}{x-} / {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} / {x-}
Katherine Fleck: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} / {x-}

Katherine Fleck was out of her seat to try and see the up cards of Michael Gathy, who bet throughout fifth to seventh. Fleck called all bets and Gathy rolled over the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a flush while Fleck showed her cards briefly and mucked them.

Doyle Brunson

We haven't seen him yet, but according to Doyle Brunson he can't resist the lure of another WSOP.

Earlier this year he tweeted out that he would be playing "a few select tournaments" during the 2021 World Series of Poker.

Poker fans will surely be looking forward to potentially seeing the ten-time bracelet winner in action in some of the bigger buy-in Mixed Game events such as the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.

Check out this article ahead of Brunson's return!
