Zinno Folds River Flush as Melgaard Chips Up

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Evan Melgaard raised in the hijack and Anthony Zinno defended the big blind.

Both players checked the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} flop.

The {j-Diamonds} turn saw a bet by Zinno and a call.

The {10-Spades} completed the board and the action saw a bet, raise, reraise, and another reraise by Melgaard. Zinno then folded and said "If you show a worse hand I'll give you $200", while showing the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}. Melgaard turned over the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a boat and replied "Good fold. You were only getting about twenty to one."

Smith Short, Campbell Eliminated

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Rob Campbell
Rob Campbell

Dan Smith raised it up from the hijack and Kevin Klassen called from the cutoff. The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Smith check-called a bet from Klassen.

On the {4-Clubs} turn card, Smith checked again and Klassen fired in another bet. Smith check-raised this time and Klassen thought for a moment before making the call.

The river brought the {8-Spades} and Smith tossed in a bet. Klassen quickly called this time and Smith showed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Klassen turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a rivered set, which left Smith on the short stack.

At the table next door, Robert Campbell was all in for his last 10,000 chips on the button with {q-Spades}{6-Spades}. He was called by Casey McCarrel in the big blind with {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Campbell was eliminated.

Matusow Climbs and Torry is Eliminated

Level 14 : 3,000/5,000, 0 ante

With a sizeable pot of over 100,000 in the middle, Mike Matusow bet on the {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board and Alex Torry thought about it but folded. Matusow showed {a-}{k-} which he said was his second ace-king in a row as he took in the chips to build his stack futher.

On the next hand, Alex Torry got the rest of his short stack in against Ryan Hansen on a {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Alex Torry: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Ryan Hansen: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Hansen had a straight flush draw and locked up the pot on the {a-Clubs} turn before the meaningless {2-Hearts} completed the board to eliminate Torry.
