Phanrasy Kills Two Birds With One Stone

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Terence Millis open-shipped all in for around 280,000 in early position. Sosthany Phanrasy re-shoved all in on the button and the small blind also stuck in the last of her 350,000 chips.

Terence Millis: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Sosthany Phanrasy: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Phanrasy was still in a dominating position with his ace-king high. The {7-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {a-Spades} on the river secured the double knockout for Phanrasy.

On a three-way pot with the flop reading {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}, Leonid Yanovski and the big blind checked to Hogyun Kang who bet 175,000. Only Yanovski made the call.

The {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and this time Yanovski tanked for a few minutes before announcing all in for 760,000. Kang considered it for some time but eventually folded his hand.

Platt Bows Out

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jeff Platt
Jeff Platt

Jeff Platt was down to his last 370,000 chips and he pushed all in from middle position. Christopher Herrin was in the big blind and slid out enough chips to call.

Jeff Platt: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Christopher Herrin: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Platt found himself looking for one of two sevens left in the deck. The flop of {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} provided some backdoor draws but the {4-Diamonds} on the turn quickly ruined all of that. The river was the {9-Clubs} and Platt was forced to head to the payout desk.

Jones Doubles Through Nahid

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kareef 'Cincinnati' Nahid raised in the hijack and Darrell Jones shoved behind for his last 185,000. The rest of the players folded and Nahid quickly announced the call.

Jones had the dominating hand with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}, facing {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for Nahid, and the {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} brought him no bad surprise to claim the pot and the double up.

Nahid, who started the day with only 120,000, is now seated with a huge stack approaching four millions chips.
