Jaffee Gets Paid Off

Level 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

James Chen opened to 24,000 in the cutoff and picked up calls from Frank Funaro on the button and Jared Jaffee in the small blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Jaffee checked to Chen who continued for 26,000. Funaro passed but Jaffee called to see the {2-Spades} on the turn.

Both players checked and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Jaffee led out for 67,000 this time and Chen eventually made the call. Jaffee turned over {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for two pair and was awarded the pot.

McKeehen Hits the Rail

Level 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

Joe McKeehen was down to his last 166,000 and he shipped all in from early position. Frank Funaro asked for a count and then made the call on the button.

Joe McKeehen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Frank Funaro: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip but the flop of {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} proved to be no help for McKeehen. The {8-Spades} on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river changed nothing, allowing Funaro to score the knockout.
