Remitio Can't Get Cornell to Fold Aces

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a three-bet pot, Tyler Cornell and Joshua Remitio were heads-up on a board reading {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Cornell checked from the small blind and Remitio splashed in a bet of 100,000 into a pot of around 300,000. Cornell called and the {6-Diamonds} completed the board.

Cornell checked again and Remitio shoved all in, putting Cornell to the test for his remaining 300,000 chips. After some thought, Cornell decided to call. Remitio showed {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for just a pair of nines while Cornell tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for a pair of aces.
