Balanco Catches a Bluff

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On the turn with the board reading {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Jonathan Balanco was in the small blind and checked to his opponent in the big blind who fired out a bet of 16,500. Balanco went into the tank for about 30 seconds before making the call.

The dealer dropped the {8-Hearts} on the river and Balanco quickly checked to his opponent as he pushed a bet of 32,000 across the line. Balanco took a few seconds and made the call. His opponent sighed as he mucked his hand face down and Balanco was awarded the pot without any cards being shown.

Ho Sends One Out

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Tuu Ho raised to 6,000 under the gun and the action folded around to the big blind who jammed for about 23,000. Ho instantly called.

Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Tuu Ho: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, giving Ho top pair but also his opponent a flush draw. The {3-Clubs} hit the turn, for Ho to pick up a flush draw of his own and the {q-Spades} river was a brick.

Quadruple Up for Steen

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Steen was all in for 2,000 from late position and the button shoved over the top for around 60,000. The blinds got out of the way and the cards were on their backs.

Daniel Steen: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The flop came down {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts} giving Steen an open ended straight flush draw. On the turn came a {6-Spades} and with a {k-Hearts} on the river, Steen hit the straight and was saved from an early bust out, getting some chips to stick around for a bit longer.

Engel Cracks Kings to Win Bounty

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

A player in middle position raised to 13,000 and Ari Engel three-bet to 37,000 on the button. The action quickly folded back around to the original raiser as he announced all in for about 91,000. Engel had only a few thousand more chips than him and made the call.

All-In Player: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Ari Engel: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Engel was dominated and the {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop gave him a gutshot straight draw to go along with his pair of nines. The {9-Hearts} hit the turn for Engel to take the lead with a set and the {a-Clubs} river was no help for his opponent as he collected his bounty.

Ruane-Gomez Rivers a Set

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Three players generated a pot of about 25,000 with the flop reading {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Michael Nia checked to Dalis Ruane-Gomez who put in a bet of 6,500 and both the button and Nia made the call.

The {k-Hearts} hit the turn and all three players checked to see the {3-Spades} on the river. Nia led for 27,500 and only Ruane-Gomez called.

Nia said, "I only have an eight," showing the {8-Hearts} and Ruane-Gomez took down the pot with the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, rivering a set of threes.
