Schwartz Spikes Straight On The River

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante
Noah Schwartz
Noah Schwartz

On a board of {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, the hijack had moved all in for 26,000 chips against Noah Schwartz, who had a similar sized stack in the small blind. Schwartz mulled over the spot and eventually decided on a call.

With cards on their backs, Schwartz was way behind with his {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} (straight draw) against the {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} (set of nines) of the hijack.

However, the river was gin for Schwartz as his hit his open-ender {8-Hearts}, and essentially doubled up.

Schwartz let out ''I'm sorry, man'', as he moves up the leaderboard.

Auletta's Queens Launch her into Chip Lead Contention

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante

With roughly 5,000 in the middle, three players saw the {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop. Regina Auletta led for 2,800 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way, while the cutoff made the call.

The turn came {8-Clubs}. Auletta continued for 3,400, before facing a raise to 7,600 from the cutoff. She made the call.

The {3-Spades} completed the board. Auletta checked. The cutoff moved 18,000 into the middle. Auletta deliberated for several minutes, before finding the call.

"You've got it, nice call" remarked her opponent. After she turned over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, the opponent mucked, and Auletta took down the large pot.

Rich's All-in Shove Busts Opponent Just Before Break

Level 4 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action folded to Cody Rich in the small blind. He moved all in, with a stack of 50,700. The big blind thought for awhile, before ultimately making the call. With 49,600 in the big blind's stack, Rich had him covered, although the stacks were similar enough that this was unclear in the moment as cards were dealt. The players tabled their hands.

Cody Rich: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

With Rich ahead, the flop came {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. maintaining his lead. The turn came {10-Hearts}, improving Rich's hand to a pair, but also providing his opponent with a flush draw. The draw would not get there, however, as the board completed with the {a-Diamonds}, giving Rich the pot.

As the dealer began counting chips to ensure that Rich had his opponent covered, the rest of the table left for break. Rich raked in the pot, placing him among the chip leaders on the day.
