Day 1d of Event #5: $500 The Housewarming No-Limit Hold'em has arrived at the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
This is the final starting flight of the tournament, with cards in the air at approximately 10 a.m. local time.
The three previous starting flights have seen the $5 million guarantee smashed already, with 12,883 entries from the first three flights. Today should be no different with many expecting the largest flight of the event so far, with players not wanting to miss out on a taste of the WSOP action.
Players start with 50,000 in chips, with blinds at 100/200/200. Day 1 levels are 30 minutes each, with a 20-minute break taking place after every fourth level. There will be no break after Level 10 today, with a 90-minute dinner break scheduled to begin after Level 12, which is approximately 6 p.m.
Late registration remains open for 10 levels (around 4 p.m.) and play will conclude after 22 levels or until 15% of the field is remaining, whichever is later. Players may re-enter once per flight.

With 4,435 players already packed into the Bally's and Paris Ballrooms, the tournament directors have instructed dealers to begin. Cards are in the air.
Action was on a river with around 18,000 in the middle. The player first to act bet 2,500 and Clint Robertson raised to 6,000.
His opponent re-raised to 12,000 and Robertson shoved for around 40,000.
"You can still re-enter?" his opponent asked as he pondered his decision. He eventually did call, with Robertson turning over for kings full. His opponent showed for an inferior full house and was eliminated.

With roughly 3,000 in the middle, Bill Klein was faced with a check-raise to 4,500 on a board of . Klein put the chips in for a call.
The river completed the board and again his opponent bet, this time to 7,500. Klein thought it over for a few moments but eventually mucked his cards awarding his opponent the pot.

Early position opened for 600 and was called by middle position, Calum Grant on the button and big blind make the call.
The flop prompted the early position player to bet 1,600. Middle position folded but Grant raised to 4,700. Only early position made the call.
Grant continued his aggression on the turn with a bet of 7.000, which early position called.
The river gave the green light for the PokerNews Editor and Live Reporter Grant to move his remaining 33,600 into the middle. The early position made the fold and the Welshman celebrates winning a big pot as well as his nation qualifying for the 2022 World Cup FInals.

Action was picked up on the flop of , and Lucas Fernandes bet 4,000 from the small blind. Only the player in middle position called to get a look at the turn.
The hit the felt, and both players slowed down, each checking their option.
When the dealer completed the board with river, Fernandes stepped on the gas again, betting 12,000. His opponent in middle position cautiously slid his chips in for the call, and Fernandes tabled for a flopped set. The other player mucked without showing.

Action folded to the cutoff who opened for 800, small blind called and Niall Farrell three-bet from the big blind to 4,000. The cutoff called and the small blind got out of the way.
The flop came with Farrell continuation betting to 3,000. His opponent quickly raised to 10,000 and Farrell decided on a fold.
