Westermann Chiping Up on Le

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

On a first hand, Felisa Westermann raised under the gun to 450,000 and Julie Le called in the big blind. On the flop {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Le didn't take long to check-fold after Westermann bet 200,000.

The hand after, Le completed her small blind and Westermann checked. They went to see a flop {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Le check-called Westermann for 200,000.

The {10-Clubs} turn brought no betting action and a {4-Hearts} came on the river. Le checked one last time and Westermann sent 700,000 in the middle. After a minute, Le made the call but only to muck when Westermann showed {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a full house.

Felisa Westermann raised to 400,000 from under the gun and Jessica Teusl called from the cutoff. The flop came down {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both checked.

The turn was a {6-Spades} and Westermann bet 500,000 which had Teusl folding.

Lynh Nguyen Eliminated in 6th Place ($28,989)

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Lynh Nguyen
Lynh Nguyen

Jessica Teusl opened in the cutoff for 400,000 and Lynh Nguyen decided to shove next to her for her last 1,300,000. It folded back to Teusl who tanked for some time and ended up announcing the call.

Lynh Nguyen: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Jessica Teusl: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

It was a typical flip situation and the board brought {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} to give the winning hand to Teusl and bust Nguyen in 6th place for a $28,989 payday.

Meikat "Mayday" Siu shoved all in from the hijack position for 2,275,000. Jessica Teusl called from the cutoff and the blinds got out of the way to let these two battle it out.

Meikat Siu: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Jessica Teusl: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}. With no help showing up for Siu's hand, Teusl's aces held up to take down the pot and send her out of the tournament in fifth place.

BREAKING: Phil Hellmuth at 2022 WSOP $3,000 NLH Final Table, Chasing 17th Bracelet

Level 32 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth has set out to win 24 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets in his lifetime. On Saturday night, he has an opportunity to get one step closer to that lofty but realistic goal.

The "Poker Brat" is one of eight players remaining in Event #65: $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em at the time of publishing.

Hellmuth currently has 16 bracelets, a record by a wide margin. Johnny Chan, Doyle Brunson, and Phil Ivey are tied for second place with 10. Should he come out victorious on Saturday night, he'll make it difficult for anyone to catch up over the next decade, and possibly beyond.

The $3,000 NLH Freezeout attracted 1,359 entries and will play down to a winner tonight. That individual will not only take home a shiny gold bracelet, but also $598,173. For the Poker Hall of Famer, it would take him above the $28.5 million mark, according to Hendon Mob.
