Steve Zolotow: {2-}{2-}
Opponent: {a-}{q-}

The flop was not good for the two-time bracelet winner as it came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Zolotow stood up and he prepared to exit the tournament, however the turn was the {2-Hearts} which erupted the table with gasps as Zolotow hit one of his two outs. Zolotow sat back down as the river came the {7-Clubs} giving him the double up.

Nastasa Hits Pair on River

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Joining the action on the flop multi way on the board of {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} Gabriel Nastasa check-called the button's 10,000 bet.

It was heads up on the turn as it came the {5-Spades}. Again Nastasa check-called the bet of 16,000.

The river came the {7-Spades} and action checked through. Nastasa showed {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for one pair while his opponent frustratedly showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Nastasa scooped in the pot to add to his big stack as his opponent muttered "I knew you had a busted flush draw", Nastasa responded "I almost re-raised you on the turn when I picked up extra outs".

Hansen Folds Out On Overpair

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in first position raised to 2,000, which was called by the player directly to his left. The action folded around to Soren Baekgaard Hansen on the cutoff who three-bet to 8,000 which saw the button call and the under the-gun player call as well.

The flop rolled off {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} and the under the-gun player bet 20,000, leaving himself about 20,000 behind. On the cutoff, Hansen moved all in for 70,000 which saw the button fold and the button folded.

The under the-gun player tanked and began agonizing over his decision. After over a minute in the tank, he folded {j-}{j-} face up and Hansen took down a healthy sized pot.

Berkey Goes Boat Over Boat

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

Action was picked up in a pot of roughly 25,000 on a board showing {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Matt Berkey checked his option from the small blind, as did his opponent on the button.

The river {a-Hearts} completed the board and Berkey moved all in for 27,000 which was quickly called by the button.

Berkey confidently rolled over {q-Spades}{8-Spades} for queens-full and his opponent looked sick when he turned over {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a smaller full-house. Berkey scooped the pot to double up his starting stack.
