Aggression Pays Off for Alleman

A player in early position opened to 1,000 and received three callers from the Cutoff, Adam Alleman on the button and a player in the small blind.

The small blind checked the 5♥Q♥9♣ flop and the early position player bet again for 2,000. The player in the cut off made the call. Alleman said "pot" and placed a bet of 12,600 which was enough to get the fold from all three of his opponents and scoop a decent pot without having to go to showdown.

Bruemmer Gets Some Value on the End

With chips in the pot already, Lenny Bruemmer sitting in middle position, bet 2,000 on a flop of on a flop of 7♠J♠J♣ — and got a single call, from the button.

On an A♥ turn, Bruemmer bet 4,000 and was called again. A 6♠ fell on the river and Breummer bet a final time — for 7,000.

The player on the button asked, "Did you hit your Ace-Jack?" but after a short while, decided to call. Breummer tabled A♣A♦K♠3♠ and his opponent mucked.

Thibodaux Regains some Ground

Action folded around to the button who limped in for 400. Joshua Thibodaux called from the small blind and the big blind checked leading to three-way action heading into the flop.

Action checked back to the button on the A♠Q♥7♣ flop. The button bet 2,500 and Thibodaux put in a small raise to 5,000, which was enough to get both of his opponents to fold.

Thibodaux mentioned just before the hand started that he had lost the majority of his stack on a bluff attempt where his opponent had the second-nut straight.

Zack Adds to his Stack

With the flop reading J♣7♥8♦, the small blind bet 14,000 and action folded round to Dan Zack on the button. Zack thought for about 30 seconds before reraising enough to put his opponent all in.

The button called and the cards went on their backs.

The turn was the 9♠ completing Zack's straight. The river didn't help the button, coming the 5♦ ending his tournament — for this bullet at least.

Action began with Francois Montmirel opening to 1,500 from under the gun. He received a call from Greg Raymer on the button and the player in the big blind.

The big blind checked the 2♥6♣5♥ flop and Montmirel bet 2,500. Both Raymer and the big blind called.

Montmirel fired again on the A♣ turn, this time for 6,000 which was enough to fold out both of his opponents.
