Josh Arieh raised and Nozomu Shimizu three-bet from the small blind before the big blind got out of the way. Arieh called and the flop was 5♦2♣10♥.

Shimizu bet and Arieh called on the flop to see 10♠ on the turn. Shimizu bet again and called when Arieh raised.

The river was 7♠ and Shimizu check-called a bet. Arieh showed K♣10♦ to take the pot with three tens and Shimizu tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Nozomu Shimizu raised from early position and just behind him, Ronnie Bardah three-bet. Action folded back around to Shimizu, who called.

Shimizu bet on the Q♣4♠A♠ flop and Bardah raised, leaving himself just 10,000 behind. Shimizu called.

Shimizu check-called an all in from Bardah on the 2♦ turn and hands were revealed.

Nozomu Shimizu: 9♥9♣

Shimizu was well ahead with his nines, and the J♣ river failed to improve Bardah — sending him out in ninth place.

The flop was 10♣A♠10♠ and both players checked to see 5♣ on the turn.

Arieh check-called a bet from McKeehen on the turn and the river was 10♥.

Both players checked the river and Arieh turned over A♦9♥ to take the pot while McKeehen mucked the losing hand.

Set Over Set Sends Shimizu's Stack Soaring

Josh Arieh raised from early position and Nozomu Shimizu three-bet from the cutoff. Kevin Song then four bet on the button and both Arieh and Shimizu called.

Song bet on the Q♣5♣J♦ flop after being checked to and Arieh called. Shimizu then raised and both Song and Arieh called.

The turn brought the 4♦ and it was checked to Shimizu, who bet. Song called and this time Arieh raised. Both Shimizu and Song called.

Arieh led out for a bet on the 3♦ river and only Shimizu called.

Arieh tabled 5♥5♦ for a flopped set of fives, but they were no good against the JxJx of Shimizu for a higher set and Shimizu collected the massive pot.

Nick Schulman raised from early position before Nozomu Shimizu three-bet and Kevin Song committed his last chips from the big blind. Action was three ways and Song was at risk for 55,000.

The flop was 7♣4♦9♦ and Shimizu bet. Schulman called and the turn was 3♦.

Both players checked the turn to see 9♠on the river. Shimizu bet and Schulman folded before the cards were turned up to determine Song's fate. Shimizu flipped over K♥9♦ for three nines and Song slowly peeled the 6♠3♥ to end his tournament run. Song bows out in eighth place for $37,967.
