In the sixth episode of The Chad & Jesse Poker Show, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen are joined by GGPoker Ambassador Jason Koon, who took some time before jumping into the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $250,000 Super High Roller.
Koon talks about expecting his second child, and as fate would have it, the day after recording his wife went into labor and he had to pull out of the aforementioned tournament. In addition to sharing what it's like being a family man, Koon discusses integrity in poker, his personal goals, and a never-before-shared prop bet he has with Bill Perkins.
Koon, who currently sits fifth on the all-time poker money list according to The Hendon Mob with nearly $48 million, also discusses his love of poker history, shares a Doyle Brunson story, and just opens up about poker and life. Don't miss your chance to hear from one of the best.
Made it to 3rd break (Level 12) in the WSOP $800 Deepstack, currently at 174k (40k start). Chip leader at my table. Really hope I can hold. This always happens in every tourney, then I typically hit a cold streak. https://t.co/x1sqz2Iuv3

The button raised to 6,500 and Manjo Batavia defended the big blind.
When the Q♣10♦7♦ flop hit, Batavia took the lead, betting 13,000. The button made the call.
The 4♣ hit the turn and Batavia splashed a bet of 30,000 across the line and his opponent took a few moments before putting in the call.
The 6♣ completed the board and Batavia wasn't slowing down as he slammed a stack of reds across the line for a bet of 70,000. His opponent had about 90,000 remaining and after being in the tank for a couple of minutes, decided to save the 70,000 by folding.

The hijack raised to 6,000 and both Ricardo Macias in the cutoff and Jimmy Lee in the big blind made the call.
The dealer fanned a flop of K♦Q♦4♣ and Lee checked before the preflop raiser continued for 4,000.
Macias put in a raise to 12,000, which was enough to force Lee and the hijack to muck their hand.

All tables are reunited in Paris Ballroom with some of them breaking in the Green section. Igor d'Ursel just arrived at Oliver Price's table and he found a double-up with pocket queens all-in preflop to come back to the starting stack.
Meanwhile, the late registration line ended and official numbers will be announced shortly.

In early position, Roman Dong opened to 6,000. But he was raised by Stuart Young directly on his left, who moved all in for a total of 32,500 chips. Everybody folded to Dong, who hesitated for a few seconds before preparing his chips and calling.
Stuart Young: A♠9♥
Roman Dong: K♠10♠
At risk, Young secured his double-up thanks to the turn card on 2♥Q♦3♥A♦8♣. He climbed to 70,000 chips. At his table, the situation is even better for Ross Neumann, who has now 394,000 chips.

Thomas Taylor opened in the hijack and only Thomas Matacale came along in the big blind.
When the K♣Q♣6♣ flop hit the felt, Matacale check-called a bet of 7,000 from Taylor.
The 7♥ hit the turn and Matacale took the lead, blasting 20,000 into the middle, and Taylor's cards instantly shot into the muck.
