Andrei Konopelko raised to 200,000 in the hijack and Sonny Franco three-bet shoved all in for 1,320,000 in the cutoff, putting himself at risk. Konopelko made the call.
Sonny Franco: A♥9♣
Andrei Konopelko: Q♣J♦
The board ran out 9♦5♠6♠10♣Q♦, and Konopelko's pair of queens on the river ended Franco's tournament run.
Christopher Brewer shoved from the cutoff into the smaller stacks to his left, and Scott Matte called for his last 1,100,000 from the small blind.
Scott Matte: K♥Q♦
Christopher Brewer: 10♣9♠
Matte would have felt comfortable when he saw the 6♣3♠Q♣ flop as he improved to top pair which left Brewer drawing thin. A 7♠ on the turn did give Brewer a gutshot meaning only an eight on the river would see Matte eliminated.
Brewer did complete his straight on the 8♣ river which meant Matte was eliminated.
"I get the bounty, too," said Brewer as Matte was walking away from the table. Matte tossed the bounty card to Brewer and headed to the payout desk.
Todd Belsick moved all in for 1,175,000 from the hijack, putting himself at risk, and Robert Heidorn made the call from the button.
Todd Belsick: K♥Q♠
Robert Heidorn: A♦10♥
Belsick pulled ahead on the 4♦K♣Q♣ flop, improving to two pair, kings and queens. However, the J♠ on the turn gave Heidorn a straight. The 8♦ on the river put an end to Belsick's impressive tournament run.
Robert Heidorn opened to 160,000 from under the gun and Lucas Blanco shoved all in from the next seat for 740,000. When it got back to Heidorn, he made the call.
Lucas Blanco: 8♠8♥
Robert Heidorn: K♠J♦
Heidorn flopped trips on the K♣2♥K♥10♦A♠ runout which eliminated Blanco.
Adrian Mateos opened to 160,000 from early position, then called after Jorge Carvalho three-bet to 350,000 from the button.
Carvalho continued for 150,000 on a flop of 7♦Q♦Q♥ and Mateos called, then both players checked the J♣ turn.
The 9♦ river landed on the felt and Mateos decided to go all-in for approximately 1,600,000. Carvalho went deep into the tank and after several minutes, the clock was called and he announced "call".
Jorge Carvalho: K♠J♥
Adrian Mateos: A♦A♥
Carvalho called with two pair but ran into Mateos' aces. Carvalho only had 1,000,000 left, so he was eliminated.
On the next hand, Eshaan Bhalla received a walked and discovered... A♠A♣ in the big blind.
Elia Ahmadian shoved from the cutoff for around 500,000, and Didier Guerin shoved from the button for 585,000. Jay Farber was in the small blind and he also shipped his stack into the middle which put two players at risk.
Elia Ahmadian: A♣6♦
Didier Guerin: 4♠4♦
Jay Farber: K♦K♣
It was a great spot for Farber to pick up bounties and he did just that as pocket kings maintained their lead throughout the hand on the 2♣8♣7♥J♣10♠ runout.
Young Eum moved all in from under the gun for 325,000 and Kamal Bittar reshoved on the button for 785,000. Robert Heidorn made the call from the small blind, covering them both.
Young Eum: A♣10♠
Kamal Bittar: A♠K♦
Robert Heidorn: 7♣7♠
Heidorn gained a stranglehold on the hand when the flop rolled out 9♠7♦2♠. The turn 2♣ and river 8♣ sent both of his opponents to the rail.
