Day 1b of Event #1: $1,000 Mystery Millions here at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas has concluded, with the 1,833 entrants whittled to only 83 over the course of 22 30-minute levels. Veerachai Vongxaiburana bagged up a flight-leading 2,975,000 chips, but a certain Jason Dewitt was also fast out of the blocks, finishing with 2,000,000.
Dewitt is a two-time bracelet winner. He won his first bracelet in 2010 and number two six years later; the latter saw him take down the $1,500 Millionaire Maker. Although there's a lot of poker to be played in this event, Dewitt has done his chances of capturing a third bracelet no harm at all.

Plenty of other well-known grinders also progressed from this flight. The 25K Fantasy Draft pick and team owner Didier Guerin (1,495,000) and bracelet-winner Samuel Bernabeu (1,230,000) made it through with a top 10 stack.
Martin Zamani (1,075,000), William Kopp (955,000), Lok Chan (905,000), and AP Garza (820,000) are also well placed. Also keep an eye out for Evan Sandberg (620,000), George Wolff (540,000), Ray Henson (245,000), and reigning WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Tamayo (200,000) when PokerNews traditional live updates begin on Day 2.
Day 1c is scheduled for 10 a.m. local time on May 29. After that, two more flights remain before all the surviving players from the five Day 1s reconvene at 11 a.m. local time on June 1 for Day 2.
