Owen Out After Attempting Bluff

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 15,000 ante
Adam Owen
Adam Owen

Adam Owen in the big blind and J Austin Hijar in middle position had gathered a sizable pot of 240,000 when they arrived post-draw. Owen then put Hijar all-in for 364,000, sending Hijar into the tank.

After a few minutes, Hijar committed the call for his tournament life. Owen flashed 10x10x before Hijar tabled 9x8x5x4x2x for a nine-low, catching a huge double-up.

Owen was left with just under nine big blinds, which he lost not much later to be eliminated from the tournament.

Meanwhile, start-of-day chipleader Han Liu, also seated at this table, had reached a seven-figure stack

The action was picked up after the draw had already taken place. Huck Seed was in the small blind and made a massive all-in bet of 202,000 into the pot of 75,000. Brian Yoon sat in the hijack and took a few minutes to think things through while talking to his opponent.

Eventually, he decided to make the call. Seed tabled 8x7x6x3x2x for an eight-low, and Yoon's cards were added to the muck as he admitted his defeat.
