Shaffer Makes the Pay Jump and Gets a Chop

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Terrell Deen shoved the cutoff for 1,150,000 and Brett Shaffer, on the button, went into the tank. One, two, three, four minutes passed and eventually Shaffer put in his last 675,000.

Brett Shaffer: AK All in
Terrell Deen: Q7

Deen paired his seven on the 679 flop to take the lead, but the hand ended in a chop as the 85 runout put a straight on board. Shaffer did make the pay jump and managed to survive, though might be disappointed he didn't get the double-up.

Ajudhia Plays it Safe With a Straight Against Naves

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Tauan Naves
Tauan Naves

Tauan Naves opened the cutoff to 200,000 and Adam Ajudhia called on the button. Ryutaro Sugita also called out of the big blind.

On the 9Q10 flop, Sugita and Naves checked, then Ajudhia fired out 300,000. Sugita folded and Naves called.

When the 8 hit the turn, Naves again went into check-call mode when Ajudhia bet 500,000 to see the A hit the river. Both decided to knuckle the table and Naves tabled two pair with Q9.

Ajudhia held the winner, though, as he flipped J10 for a straight to scoop the pot.
