Nguyen Stays Alive

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Chi Nguyen faced a difficult decision against Konstantinos Tsikopoulos, who casually slid chips into the pot while playing online poker on a tablet.

Tsikopoulos three-bet Nguyen preflop to 25,000, then fired 20,000 on the flop 494, another 25,000 on the 9 turn. He upped it on the river 6 with an all-in shove.

Nguyen studied for several minutes — through several of Tsikopoulos' online plays — before reluctantly folding.

Two hands later, Nguyen was all in against Noah Workman for his last 59,500 chips.

Chi Nguyen: A8All in
Noah Workman: 88

Nguyen took the lead early, pairing his ace, and held on through a board of 3A64K to double up.

Ivan Kalinski moved all in from under the gun for 95,000. Karen Karnafel snap-called in the big blind covering Kalinski's stack. The players revealed their holdings.

Ivan Kalinski: 99All in
Karen Karnafel: KK

Kalinski seemed deflated as he saw he was dominated heading to the flop. On a runout of J1044A Kalinski hit the rail as Karnafel stacked her tower of chips.

Jeremy Wien

On the last hand before the dinner break, Jeremy Wien raised to 14,000 under the gun and the action folded around to Bradley Davis in the big blind as all the players vacated the table to head out on break. Davis made it 50,000 to go and Wien snap-shoved all in. Davis made the call for his remaining 80,000 in chips and was at risk of elimination.

Bradley Davis: QQAll in
Jeremy Wien: AA

Two black aces for Wien heading to the flop looking to fade a queen.
