No player has commanded more attention at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) than Martin Kabrhel, partly for his strong performance, but mostly for his antics.
The clock has been called on the Czech high roller more often this summer than the Paris Hotel parking garage attendant, and he's been yapping away so much at the poker tables that even Daniel Negreanu had enough during a recent final table appearance.
Joseph Williams opened for 450,000 and got an all-in three-bet shove from Alemu Makonen for 1,475,000 on the button. After asking for a count, Sven Rahmsdorf in the small blind, announced four-bet all-in, as well, for 6,700,000.
With action back to him, Williams asked for a count and went into deep thought. After a few seconds and with only about the same amount as Rahmsdorf, Williams decided to fold, leaving the two players to go to showdown.
Alemu Makonen: A♥K♦
Sven Rahmsdorf: J♥J♣
The flop made Makonen stand up from his chair when it dropped 2♠5♣J♠ giving Rahmsdorf a set. The turn sealed the deal when the board paired with 5♠ strengthening Rahmsdorf hand, improving it into a full house.
The river 4♣ was a formality. Rahmsdorf scooped the pot as Makonen left the tournament floor.
Ivan Ruban raised to 500,000 from early position. Lejdin Fazlibegu then moved all-in from the button for 3,550,000 and was at risk. Anders Karlsen also went all-in for roughly 10,000,000, and Ruban folded.
Lejdin Fazlibegu: A♦K♠
Anders Karlsen: A♠Q♣
The dealer ran out a board of 10♣K♣4♣ providing a real sweat, but the turn 10♠ and river 7♠ did not change anything, and Fazlibegu scored a massive double up.
Action was picked up with two players all in on a completed board.
David Uvaydov: A♣8♦
Sven Rahmsdorf: A♦Q♣
Although Rahmsdorf had Uvaydov dominated, the board ran 2♦J♦10♣8♠3♣ giving Uvaydov a pair on the turn. Uvaydov boosts his stack nearing the end of the day getting a big chunk of chips from Rahmsdorf stack.
Anders Karlsen in the small blind was all-in and at risk for approximately 2,000,000 against Bartlomiej Swieboda on the button.
Anders Karlsen: A♥9♠
Bartlomiej Swieboda: K♣10♦
Swieboda flopped top pair on Q♦10♥9♥ then hit a straight with the J♥ turn. Karlsen still a a flush draw, but he didn't find the heart he needed with the A♦ river and was eliminated.
