Event #54: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha
Day 2 Started
After a massive turnout on Day 1, just 114 players remain in Event #54: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha at the 2025 World Series of Poker. The tournament drew 1,564 entries at the Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas, generating a $2,076,210 prize pool, with a $306,791 top prize and the prestigious WSOP gold bracelet still up for grabs.
Leading the way for Day 2 is Giuseppe Pantaleo, who bagged up a stack of 1,105,000. Pantaleo is the only player to cross the one-million mark and will return today as the one everyone is chasing. Sitting just behind him are Michael Monroig (893,000) and Leonid Yanovski (878,000), rounding out the top three chip counts.

Bruno Furth returns with a stack of 761,000, placing him in the top ten heading into today's proceedings. He’s already had a stellar summer at this WSOP, winning Event #5: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for $620,696, then finishing runner-up in Event #36: $10,000 PLO Hi-Lo for $508,705. With two big scores already, Furth is definitely one to watch today.
Day 2 resumes at 12 p.m. local time, where blinds will begin at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante, and all levels will now be 60 minutes long for the remainder of the event. The plan today is to play through ten levels. Everyone returning is guaranteed $3,406, but all eyes are on the $306,791 first-place prize and the coveted gold bracelet.

Virgile Turchi raised to 30,000 from middle position and found calls from Patrick Moulder and Braz Junior in late positions and Robert Nehorayan on the button. Jason Lang then raised pot to 160,000 from the small blind. Turchi called, but then Moulder moved all in for 244,000. Junior and Nehorayan got out of the way, but Lang and Turchi both called.
The flop came Q♣2♣2♠ and Lang instantly moved all in for his last 107,000, which sent Turchi into the tank, and after he announced 'My Hand is Really Bad!', he finally made the call.
Patrick Moulder: A♣K♥J♥4♣
Jason Lang: A♥A♠6♦2♦
Virgile Turchi: J♠10♣9♦8♦
Lang was way ahead with his flopped trips, but Moulder had outs for a flush. He got no help on the 10♦ turn, and when the 6♠ peeled off on the river and filled Lang up, he scooped the massive pot and sent Moulder to the rail.
