Lucena Takes Out Junior

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Juan Lucena
Juan Lucena

Action was folded to Paulino Junior, who moved all in from the cutoff for 900,000. Juan Lucena in the small blind went into the tank and announced that he was also all in. Omid Mortazavi in the big blind folded.

Juan Lucena: K10

A safe looking flop came for Junior of 335 and the 8 then peeled off on the turn to give Lucena additional outs. The 6 was one of them that came on the river and made Lucena a flush to send Junior to the cage.

Lucena Finds a Double with Bottom Pair

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Gary Bolton opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 175,000, and Juan Lucena, sitting in the big blind, responded by moving all in for his remaining 265,000. Bolton made the quick call to put him at risk.

Juan Lucena: A3All in
Gary Bolton: AQ

The flop came J93, giving Lucena a small pair to take the lead. The 10 turn and 5 river brought no help for Bolton, and Lucena scored a timely double to stay in the mix.

Chudapal Bops Yu

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Chong Yu shoved from the button for 480,000 and was called in the big blind by Siarhei Chudapal to put Yu at risk.

Chong Yu: A4All in
Siarhei Chudapal: KJ

Yu was ahead before the flop, but the first card out was not what he wanted to see when it came J610 on the flop. The 6 turn and the 2 river offered no drama as Yu was sent to the payout desk.

Scobai Doubles; Navarro Eliminated

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Alejandro Navarro flicked his last 210,000 in the pot under the gun, and the action folded all the way to the blinds when Ion Scobai chose to call from the small blind, and Enrique Baldeon also chose to call from the big blind. Scobai and Baldeon took a flop while Navarro was all-in and at risk.

Scobai and Baldeon both checked the 274 flop, but when the Q turn peeled off, there were fireworks as Scobai shoved for 400,000 and was called by Baldeon to put two players at risk as Baldeon had both covered.

The 6 peeled off on the river, and Scobai showed KQ for top pair. Baldeon showed Q10 for an inferior kicker as Navarro was sent to the rail and Scobai doubled.

Parent Gets There

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Laurent Crochemore raised to 160,000 in the hijack and Jacob Parent three-bet shoved for 390,000 in the big blind. Crochemore made the call with the covering stack.

Jacob Parent: 43 All in
Laurent Crochemore: QJ

Crochemore pulled ahead further on the J67 flop, pairing his jack but Parent still had outs with a gutshot.

The 9 landed on the turn and the 5 rolled off on the river, giving Parent a straight to keep him alive.

Lee Survives, Tan Claims the Side

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Joseph Brumpacheco opened the action under the gun with a raise to 190,000. Ricky Lee, short-stacked in middle position, moved all in for his last 135,000. Action folded around to Shuaiyan Tan in the big blind, who made the call, and a three-way pot developed.

Brumpacheco and Tan both checked down the 559 flop, the 2 turn, and the 5 river, taking things to showdown.

Lee turned over 88 for a full house, fives full of eights, enough to lock up the main pot and stay alive.

Brumpacheco revealed AQ for ace high and a shot for the side pot, but Tan tabled A2, her full house fives full of deuces, earning her the 210,000 side pot.

Gittings' Shove Gets Through

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Brett Horton raised to 250,000 under the gun and Paul Heath flatted in middle position. Alexander Gittings then three-bet all in from the big blind, prompting Horton to ask for a count.

After the dealer confirmed that the bet was 1,370,000, Horton tossed his cards into the muck.

"Good bet, very close," said Heath after deciding to give up his hand as well.

Evangelista Loving Being Moved to New Table

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action was folded to Clement Kerrien in the small blind, who moved all in for 1,800,000, and action was on Mark Evangelista, who had just been moved to the table and sat straight in the big blind. He looked down at his cards and snap-called.

Clement Kerrien: J10All in
Mark Evangelista: AJ

A pretty nasty flop of JA2 for Kerrien and he needed help. None was forthcoming when the 7 came on the turn, and he was drawing dead. The K on the river sealed the deal, and Kerrien was sent to the rail.
