Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Kajetan Renke
Kajetan Renke

Nathan Thrush raised to 200,000 from under the gun, with calls from Kajetan Renke on the button and Maki Fuchigami in the big blind.

The J26 flop checked to Renke, who fired 250,000. Fuchigami folded, and Thrush reraised to 650,000. Renke responded with an all-in shove for roughly 1,300,000, putting himself at risk. Thrush called and found out he was drawing thin.

Kajetan Renke: AJ All in
Nathan Thrush: KJ

The turn 4 and river Q brought no help for Thrush, and Renke dragged a nice-sized pot to kick off the day.

Duong Flops Two Pair, Eliminates Brooks

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Robert Brooks
Robert Brooks

Robert Brooks open-shoved in late position for a little more than 1,000,000. Action folded to the big blind Thanh Ha Duong, who made the call.

Robert Brooks: KJ All in
Thanh Ha Duong: AJ

The flop 8AJ immediately placed Brooks in jeopardy when it gave Duong top two pair. The K gave Brooks the lower two pair but it would take a miracle if he was to stay on in the tournament.

That miracle didn't happen when the 2 came on the river. Brooks' tournament life ended instantly, and he left the floor as Duong scooped the pot.

Boat over Boat for Guo

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Zhan Guo raised to 350,000 in the small blind. Todd Collins defended the big blind.

The board came out J66, and Guo continued for 200,000. Collins called.

Guo bet 600,000 on the 6. Collins once again called.

On the 5 river, Guo thought for a while before moving all in. Collins instantly called. Guo's AA bested Collins' KJ, and he got the double up after the river shove.

James Bethune
James Bethune

James Bethune decided to go all-in from middle position and was called by Harold Harvey in the next seat over to put Bethune at risk.

James Bethune: 33All in
Harold Harvey: AA

Bethune's pocket threes were in serious trouble against the pocket aces of Harvey. Bethune found no relief when the flop came K69.

The A turn sealed the deal as it left Bethune no recourse to come back. The meaningless 10 came the river as Bethune hit the rail. Bethune earned $8,063 for his effort.
