Philip Hannon Doubles Through Pete Chen

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Philip Hannon raised to 52,000 in the cutoff and Griffin Abel called in the small blind. Pete Chen three-bet to 157,000 in the big blind and Hannon shoved for 229,000. Abel got a count of both raises and, after a long pause, he folded.

Hannon: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Chen: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} {3-Hearts} and Chen had queens and twos as well as the nut flush draw. Hannon found one his two outs on the {K-Spades} river though to double through.

Stenholm Takes from Armstrong

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jamie Armstrong raised from the button and [Removed:153] defended his big blind. Stenholm checked the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop and Armstrong continued for 65,000, which the Swede called. After the {3-Diamonds} turn, Stenholm checked once more and Armstrong bet 140,000 and Stenholm called.

The {Q-Clubs} river brought a check by Stenholm and Armstrong checked behind to muck once Stenholm flipped over {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for trip queens.

Raina and Pantaleo Win Pots

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Asi Moshe raised to 52,000 and Gaurav Raina in the hijack three-bet to 135,000, which Moshe called. The duo ended up checking down the board of {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Moshe showed {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Raina had that beat with {A-Spades}{10-Spades} and scooped the pot.

Soon after, a battle of the blinds between Giuseppe Pantaleo and James Calvo gained action on the {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} turn. Pantaleo bet 53,000 and Calvo raised to 175,000, which Pantaleo called. Both checked the {K-Spades} river and Pantaleo showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for two pair.

Calvo was not happy at all and slammed his cards on the table in disgust, causing the {Q-Diamonds} to flip over.

Michael Krasienko Eliminated in 16th Place ($16,238)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Michael Krasienko
Michael Krasienko

Michael Krasienko went all in for 200,000 in middle position and Pete Chen re-shoved in the small blind. The big blind folded and Krasienko was at risk, and behind.

Krasienko: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Chen: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

"I'll take a chop," Krasienko notified the dealer, and the flop came {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, giving Krasienko a flush draw. The {J-Clubs} turn and the {9-Spades} river were of no help to Krasienko, though, and he was eliminated.

Krasienko takes home $16,238 for his 16th-place finish.

Zhang Shoves Into Raina

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The action has somewhat slowed down and just small pots were played towards the end of the level. Gaurav Raina opened to 54,000 from the cutoff and Chi Zhang moved all in for 534,000 in total from the small blind. "This is a pretty close one," Raina said. "I kind of predicted you would do this, but it's still tough," he added.

Two minutes passed and Raina said, "You can breathe," before sending his cards into the muck.

In a battle of the blinds, [Removed:153] checked the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds} turn and Tom Thomas bet 100,000, which Stenholm called. On the Qc] river, Stenholm bet 175,000 and Thomas folded. "Show a black card," Scott Margereson teased from the other side of the table, but Stenholm just raked in the pot with a grin on the face.

Eric Cloutier raised to 65,000 and Griffin Abel defended the big blind. On the {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, both players checked. Abel bet the {3-Spades} turn for 100,000 and Cloutier folded.

Soon after, Abel raised the button to 60,000 and Pete Chen shoved for 432,000 in the small blind to rake in the pot uncontested.
