Calling Birds With Randy Ohel, Kyle Miaso, and Mike Ross

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Stud Hi-Lo

Ohel: {x-}{x-} / {4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Miaso: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Ross: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} - fold

Randy Ohel let out a "Caw caw!" as the action checked to him on fifth street. He bet, then let out another, "Caw caw."

Ross folded, but Kyle Miaso called, taking the two players to sixth street. "Oh great, this one is gonna be on the site, too," Miaso said. "It's probably going to be titled 'Miaso Makes a Terrible Call.'"

Miaso checked to Ohel, and Ohel bet again. This time, Miaso folded, and Ohel took down the pot, letting out another, "Caw caw!" as he raked in the chips.

"We're doing bird calls when we scoop a pot," Ohel explained.

"Yeah, make sure you say that the big pigeon won the pot," Ross said.

The very next hand was scooped by Miaso, and he let out a, "Doki doki," as his bird call.

Todd Brunson Gets Half a Knockout

Level 5 : 400/800, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

On a flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, the small blind checked to Todd Brunson, who bet from the big blind. He was called by the player under the gun, the player in the cutoff, and the small blind. On the {4-Spades} turn, action checked to Brunson again, and he bet. This time, only the under-the-gun player and the small blind called. The small blind checked again on the {10-Spades} river. Brunson bet once more. The player under the gun moved all in for less than the bet, and the small blind called.

Brunson showed {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a full house. The small blind had {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for an eight-seven-four-three low. The all-in player showed {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{X-} for a low of eight-seven-five-four, and he was eliminated from the tournament. Brunson and the small blind chopped the pot.

Siddique Snaps Woods

Level 5 : 400/800, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

A preflop three-bet from Usman Siddique was called by James Woods and Chris George.

The flop was {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Woods led out, and both George and Siddique called. The {10-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Woods led again. George called, and then both players called a raise from Siddique. The {j-Hearts} completed the board on the river, and Woods check-called a bet from Siddique. George folded.

Woods said, "I flopped a full house, but I'm sure that's not good anymore." Woods was right and mucked when Siddique turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.
