Rast's River Check-Raise Fails

Level 2 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Catching up with the action on the turn reading {6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}, David Oppenheim was on the button betting 4,200 into the pot. His opponent was the reigning Champion, Brian Rast, who called.

The {8-Hearts} landed on the river, and Rast checked to Oppenheim, who bet 8,400 this time. Rast paused for a moment, then check-raised to 32,000, putting Oppenheim to a tough decision. After about a minute, he called.

Rast showed {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, but his top two pair was no good against Oppenheim's full house with {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.
