The fourth and final starting flight for the WSOP International Circuit Main Event kicks off at 12:30pm local time at The Star here in Sydney. Day 1C, which was played out yesterday, received 334 entries, and today’s field is expected to smash that number out of the park.
The first three Day 1’s drew a combined total of 729 entries and 133 players have already bagged chips. Leading the way at the moment are Michael Confos (366,000) from Day 1A, Ali Aflatounian (430,500) from Day 1B and Michael Spencer (545,000) from Day 1C.
Alongside the current chip leaders, a whole slew of familiar faces have already advanced to Day 2. Among them are 2018 WSOP Main Event 7th place finisher Alex Lynskey (404,000), recent WSOPC Sydney High Roller and Six-Max champions Luke Martinelli (334,000) and Huss Hassan (260,500), six-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Lisandro (159,500) and defending WSOPC Sydney main event champion Michael Kanaan (126,000).
All Day 1’s play out over the course of fourteen 45-minute levels and every player begins with 30,000 starting chips. Late registration will remain open until 5.20pm local time. This is everyone's last chance to find a bag as they try to progress to Day 2.

Cards are now in the air for Day 1D of the Main Event at The Star Sydney and with that a new record has been broken. Previously, The Star Sydney Main Event's largest field was 1060 and that was last year. This year, with 355 entries currently for Day 1D, the total field size has reached 1,084, and it's still growing. It's sure to be an exciting day here at The Star Sydney with their largest Main Event field ever.

On a board of Matt Rolfe tossed out a bet totalling 2,200 and was called shortly after by his opponent.
"Did I win?" joked Rolfe, before tabling for trip eights with a queen-kicker.
His opponent smiled before revealing his for a full house and took down the early pot.

A player in middle position opened with a raise to 300 and Johnathan Hargrave called on the button. The big blind called as well and it was three-way to a flop.
The flop was and the big blind checked. The player in middle position made it 525. Hargrave called while the big blind folded.
Both players checked on the turn and the came on the river. There, the middle position player bet again, making it 1,025. Hargrave didn't waste too long to call. The middle position player showed down though for kings and tens and that would earn him the pot as Hargrave tapped the table and mucked.
It's not a great start for Hargrave, who finished 5th in the $500 Opening Event here at The Star Sydney for $29,487, but he's still got plenty of chips to work with here on Day 1D.

On a board of Marc Seymour bet from the big blind and was called by his opponent in middle position.
The completed the board and Seymour fired 1,100. His opponent obliged and called.
Seymour then tabled his for two pair and took down the pot after his opponent mucked his hand.
Also seated at the feature table is Michael Seymour who's already had a good start to his day sitting behind 43,000 in chips.

Zac Lowrie was in the cutoff and he opened with a raise to 250. Action folded to the small blind where Eric Wu three-bet, making it 1,050. The big blind folded but Lowrie called to see a flop.
The flop was and Wu checked. Lowrie put out a bet of 1,200 and Wu called.
Both players checked when the came and the dropped on the river. There, Wu checked for a third time. Lowrie put out a bet of 2,800. Wu tanked for a bit, but eventually decided to call. Lowrie turned up his for just queen-high and Wu had snapped of the bluff holding for ace-high, and that would earn him the pot.
