Kroesen Flushes Opponent

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The player in middle position raised to 2,200 and was called by Ricky Kroesen in the big blind.

Both players checked the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop before the {a-Hearts} dropped on the turn.

Kroesen tossed out 3,000. His opponent called.

The {4-Hearts} completed the board and Kroesen fired out 7,400. His opponent thought for a minute and called.

Kroesen tabled {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush, and took down the pot, after his opponent mucked.

Edwards Rails One

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Luke Edwards
Luke Edwards

There was a raise to 2,400 on the button and a three-bet to 8,500 in the small blind from Luke Edwards before the player in the big blind moved all-in for 9,600 in total.

Both the button and Edwards called the extras and the dealer peeled of a flop of {6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts} with both Edwards and the player on the button checking it through to the {8-Hearts} turn.

The {10-Diamonds} river saw Edwards lead for 10,000 to take the hand heads-up and the all-in player showed down {q-Clubs}{j-} and looked a less than thrilled when Edwards rolled over {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a straight to claim the pot and thin the field by one.

The 405-strong field has now been reduced to 188, with six more 45-minute levels remaining before the conclusion of the final Main Event starting flight.

White Crushes Rebeira

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chris White
Chris White

With the flop down {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} Mark Rebeira had moved all-in from the small blind for 98,300 and his opponent in the hand Chris 'the crusher' White was waiting for a count of Rebeira's stack.

After this was calculated White made the call for his tournament life and the two tabled their cards.

Mark Rebeira: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Chris White: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

In what proved to be an ambitious shove, Rebeira was trailing to White's flopped set and would need some runner, runner action to send White railwards.

However, the {3-Clubs} turn and {j-Hearts} river were not all that helpful and Rebeira took a big hit to drop to 20,000, while White stacked up to 200,000 with that timely gift.

Karamalikis Check-Raises Zenonos

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chris Zenonos
Chris Zenonos

With over 10,000 in the pot and the flop out {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} Jonathan Karamaliks had checked the action over to Chris Zenonos in the hijack who had bet out 7,000, with Karamalikis making the call to bring the two to the {2-Clubs} turn.

Karamalikis checked it over to Zenonos who loaded up and 11,000 second barrel, only to get check-raised to the tune of 23,000. Zenonos mulled it over and then began to grill Karamalikis on his holdings.

"You don't believe me or you have a big blind special?" quizzed Zenonos,

Consummate professional that he is, Karamalikis gave nothing away.

"Can you beat top pair?"

Eventually, Zenonos flashed Karamalikis the {10-Hearts} before mucking, with the latter flashing him a smile before raking in the pot to climb to 80,000, while Zenonos still holds a playable 81,000.

Tough Fold for Chahine and Ragozzini

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Simon Chahine raised to 2,500 from middle position and was called by the player in the hijack. Sean Ragozzini then raised to 10,000 from the button. Both Chahine and the hijack called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Spades} and the action checked to Ragozzini who continued for 11,000. Both players called again.

The {q-Diamonds} dropped on the turn and Chahine thought for over a minute before checking. The player in the hijack then moved all in for 33,400. Ragozzini mucked shortly after. Chahine went into the tank for several minutes.

"Sorry guys," apologised Chahine. "King-queen.. Ace-queen?" he asked himself.

"I don't know what to do," added Chahine, before eventually opting to muck his hand.

"You have king-ten?" asked Chahine.

"I had nothing," smiled his opponent, whilst raking in the pot. "I had a set," he confirmed.

"I'm not doing to badly," said a relieved Chahine.

"If you pushed on the flop I would've called," added Ragozzini after the hand.
