Scott Gordon Takes One Early

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

The board showed {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and over 10,000 had accumulated in the pot.

Roy Agresta checked from the big blind followed by Adam Smith in middle position. Scott Gordon then tossed out 4,000. Agresta called. Smith deliberated over his decision for over a minute before eventually mucking his hand.

Gordon then flipped over {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for an over-pair and took down the pot.

Foster Wins Big Early

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

With the community cards spread {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and over 10,000 in the pot already on the river, Joshua Foster had bet out for 13,500 from the button and big blind Adnan Al-maliki was in the tank.

Eventually, Al-maliki made a decision and slammed down the call and looked less than impressed when Foster rolled over {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} to claim the pot with a straight.

Foster stacked up to 54,000, while Al-maliki took an early hit and had just 4,000 after the hand.

The player in the hijack raised to 500 before Ricky Kroesen re-raised to 1,700. His opponent called.

The flop came {j-}{10-}{8-} with two clubs and the hijack checked. Kroesen continued for 3,000. His opponent raised to 9,500. Kroesen called.

The turn dropped the {2-Hearts} and Kroesen's opponent moved all in and had Kroesen covered. Kroesen tanked for several minutes before opting to call for his tournament life.

Kroesen: {8-}{8-}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

Kroesen had the lead with a set of eights, and took down the pot, after the {4-} completed the board.

Suchanek Pushes Off Zhu

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ming Zhu opened the action to 600 from under-the-gun and Jan Suchanek three-bet to 1,600 from one seat over. There were no other takers aside from Zhu and the duo headed off to a flop of {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Zhu checked it over to Suchanek, who flicked in a 2,300 continuation bet, which was enough to win the hand.
