Shawn Buchanan brought us up to speed in a major hand between Sam Chartier and Matan Krakow. The action was already on the river and Chartier was taking for at least 6 minutes. Buchanan told us Krakow three-bet pre flop and Chartier called in position. The flop was and Chartier called a 6,000 bet.
The turn was the and Krakow followed through with a 17,000 bet. Chartier had 38,000 when he called and the river brought out the . Krakow shoved which put Chartier all-in who tanked for ages before finally folding. The Canadian was far from happy and will be one of the short stacks when we get back from dinner.

We have quickly moved down from 36 players to 33 but only saw one of the eliminations.
Romain Matteoli was all-in holding pocket jacks but he ran into Azusa Maeda who was holding pocket kings. The board didn't change anything and Matteoli was out in 34th place for a €4,536. Two other players have also won that amount after being eliminated, Martins Adeniya (36th) and Flavien Guenan (35th).
Peter Jetten raised to 3,700 in early position , Anton Wigg called in the small blind and then Azusa Maeda made the squeeze from the big blind. The price to pay was 9,700 and only Wigg decided his hand was worth playing for.
Flop:
Wigg checked to Maeda who grabbed chips instantly and dropped 11,000 of them over the line. Back to Wigg and he check-raised to 24,700 and Maeda folded pocket queens face up. Wigg slid his cards face-down to the dealer and welcomed the new chips to his stack.
