Diamonds For Lewis

There was a raise to 75 in the cut-off before Toby Lewis three-bet to 275 on the button.

"How do you even hold these things," joked Lewis.

The flop was {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} and a 275 Lewis c-bet won the pot. As he was pulling in his new chips two players were heading for his table - Scotty Nguyen and Anna Marquez. We both watched in anticipation and Marquez walked straight past whilst Nguyen took a seat to the right of Lewis.

"How are you baby?" Said Nguyen.

Lewis, you should really run better my son!

Smith Has Friends

Dan Smith
Dan Smith

We picked up the action on a {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and the small blind quickly bet out pot, 675. Dan Smith, who was on the button, instantly raised pot and threw in a lot of big chips. While his opponent was tanking Smith seemed very relaxed and even produced an "Howdy!" to yours truly who was following the action. "Because we're friends I'll show you if you fold," Smith replied to his opponent who seemed to be really hurting.

After a while he folded and Smith turned over {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for two pair. The young American pro raked in the pot and is up to 7,000 chips.

Lamb Gone

We didn't even see it happen but his Twitter told us he got it in with {K-}{K-}{J-}{J-} versus aces and {A-}{2-}{X-}{X-} versus {7-}{7-}{X-}{X-} on a {A-}{7-}{7-}{A-}{2-} board. A very short day for Lamb who will have some time off before the Main Event starts on Saturday.

Maria Ho Loses a Pot But Has Started Well

Maria Ho limped from under the gun and there was a button raise of 120 and she made the call. The two of them looked down upon a flop of {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {5-Clubs} and Ho check-called a 250 button bet. The turn was the {6-Hearts} and once again Ho checked to the button who announced "pot" and Ho surrendered her hand but still has 8,000 chips.

David Vamplew In PLO Action

Former EPT Winner David Vamplew has decided to have a go at the four-card game and we have just seen him in action. There was an early position limper before Vamplew declared "pot" from the cut-off. The price was 125 and the button cold-called before the small blind squeezed out a raise for 575. The action folded around to Vamplew who made the call and the button folded.

Flop: {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts}

The player in the small blind bet 1,350 and Vamplew folded instantly.

24-hours ago Steve Billirakis was closing in on his second WSOP bracelet in the third event of this series. He captured his second title after despatching Michele Di Lauro and is back in business today.

Hugo Lemaire raised to 75 from the small blind and Billirakis called in the big blind. The flop was {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {7-Hearts} and Lemaire bet 225 and Billirakis called. The turn was the {K-Hearts} and Lemaire pulled back the trigger and fired out his second shot of 375. Billirakis took his eyes off his Chinese poker game for a few seconds and made the call.
