€50,000 Majestic High Roller
Day 3 Started
That's the question as we head into the final day of play here at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes, France. Just nine players remain, who are all gunning for that one million euro first place prize. But first, there's still a bubble to be burst. Only eight players will get paid, and play will resume with caution.
John Juanda is the clear cut chip leader as he's looking to eclipse the $15,000,000 mark in live tournament earnings with a victory today. A min cash in this event would make 2012 the biggest winning year in his career to date. He will have plenty of competition from a wide range of world class players. German top pros Philipp Gruissem and Tobias Reinkemeier both have good stacks while Steve O'Dwyer has direct position on the chip leader.
The pressure will be on Mike Watson and Winfred Yu who start the day out at the bottom of the counts. Watson, who's the short stack, still has 12 big blinds so it's not over yet for the Canadian pro.
The final table will start at 3:00 PM local time, and PokerNews will bring you all the live updates throughout the day!

The flop ran out and both Juanda and Gruissem checked. Yu tossed out a 110,000-chip bet after which Juanda folded quickly. Gruissem tanked for a while, but eventually he folded as well.
Yu smiled and flashed the as he took down an important hand for his small stack.
