Krasimir Yankov Wins Two Off Vahid Amirzahiri

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Kasimir Yankov
Kasimir Yankov

As hand for hand play continues with 30 remaining, Krasimir Yankov has picked up almost 300,000 from his Day 2 starting stack.

Most of that has come from Vahid Amirzahiri, his neighbor on his right.

On the first hand, three players saw the {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop and Yankov was the first to bet, making it 18,000 to go. Amirzahiri was the lone caller.

Both players checked the {2-Spades} on the turn and Amirzahiri checked the {4-Clubs} on the river. Yankov bet 75,000 and Amirzahiri called. Yankov showed {a-}{a-}{9-}{9-} for a full house and Amirzahiri mucked.

Amirzahiri took a little back when he bet the pot over a Yankov open to 20,000. One player called before Amirzahiri bet the pot and got no callers.

Yankov took a bit more from Amirzahiri when three players saw the limped {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Amirzahiri called a 28,000 bet from Yankov and the two were heads up again. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and both players checked. Amirzahiri bet the pot on the river when the {4-Spades} hit and Yankov called.

Amirzahiri showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a set of sevens, which was no good against the {10-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of Yankov. Yankov made a flush even after flopping a higher set.
