Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Paul Michaelis
Paul Michaelis

Paul Michaelis won't be adding a second bracelet to his collection just yet.

First, Willem de Jong doubled up for 105,600 with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} against the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} of Michaelis on a board of {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and the German then moved in with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. His nemesis De Jong shoved blind from the small blind with the {Q-}{10-} and got there again to eliminate Michaelis in 85th place.

Crha Runs Hot

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Vasile Stancu was eliminated after two hands against Rene Crha. Stancu had been running pretty hot, earning two doubles in the last hour, but his luck ran out.

The first hand, Crha was in the big blind and three-bet Stancu's under the gun open. Stancu called 62,000 and the flop came {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Crha checked and Stancu bet 43,000. Crha called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and paired the board. Crha was very deliberate and checked a little sooner than he did on the flop. Stancu went all in and Crha snap called with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Stancu showed {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and needed help.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Rene Crha doubled through Stancu, leaving him with 12,000.

The next hand Stancu put the rest of his chips in and Sebastian Langrock raised to 22,000. Crha called as well from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Crha checked. Langrock bet 12,000 and Crha called. The turn was the {j-Clubs} and Crha checked again. Langrock bet 28,000 and Crha called. The river was the {j-Hearts} and both players checked. Crha won the hand with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a full house and eliminated Stancu. Langrock showed {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} for top pair and then mucked.

Vranken Takes a Big Hit

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

On the flop of {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}, four players including Jacek Skiscim and Antoine Vranken in the big blind checked. Things then escalated on the {K-Diamonds} turn and Skiscim as well as Vranken went to war with the former all in and at risk.

Jacek Skiscim: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Antoine Vranken: {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Both players had flopped trips sixes and Skiscim had the better kicker, he even improved to a full house with the {A-Spades} river and celebrated the double with a friend from Poland on the rail.

"You Have to Snap Something"

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Radek Castka opened to 15,000 from early position and Artan Dedusha called on the button. Waldemar Kopyl three-bet to 63,000 and Castka asked for a brief count, then moved all in. Dedusha folded and so did Kopyl in an instant. "You snap-folded, I would have snap-moved all in if he didn't do it," Dedusha said to Kopyl and Marcel Luske replied with a dry "you have to snap something, you are a snapper," causing giggles at the table.
