Welcome to Rozvadov, Czech Republic and King's Resort for the start of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe. Today sees the first of 15 bracelet events kick off at the largest card room in Europe, with plenty of excitement in the air ahead of the rest of the Series.
Organizers are expecting bumper crowds for all events, including today's €350 buy-in Opener.
On Day 1a and Day 1b, there will be 14 levels of 30 minutes. Late registration is open for 12 levels and players are allowed up to two re-entries.
The starting stack is 30,000 chips and cards will be in the air from 4 p.m.

Petr Hendrich raised pre-flop and was called by Nikolaos Skiadas in the next position as well as both blinds.
The flop was and the blinds both checked to Hendrich who continued for 500. Skiadas quickly raised to 1,700. The blinds both folded, as did Hendrich.
Skiadas showed the for top pair and took down an early pot.

We caught the action on the turn, with the board showing and it was Alexander Rahman who checked his option to Maik Peschmann, who fired 2,800 at a pot of around 4,000.
Rahman thought for a bit and ultimately decided to fold his hand. Peschmann turned over a pair of fives, for a flopped set.

Action was on the turn with three players still in the hand. Patrick Schindler checked and Daniel Illenseer bet 3,500 into a pot of 5,000 with the board reading . Marius Geanta folded his button and Schindler called.

The action started when a player from early position raised to 300,and after a flat from the player in the cutoff, Fotios Ntamaris bumped it to 2,000 from the small blind. The only player who called was the initial raiser and the flop fell .
Ntamaris fired a bet of 1,500 and his opponent called rather quickly. The turn brought a on the table and this time Ntamaris bet 5,500 which his opponent called again.
The river was the and Fotios shoved all-in for 13,500, sending his opponent deep into the tank. After a few minutes he called. Fotios showed for a queen-high flush, and his opponent showed and mucked allowing Fotios to take down the pot.
