Rafi Scoops Another One

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rafael Rafi
Rafael Rafi

Rafael Rafi raised it up on the button and was called by Gary Hasson in the small blind. Shawn Morales pushed all in for 6,200 in the big blind and both Rafi and Hasson called.

The flop came {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Hasson check-called a bet of 6,500 from Rafi. The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and Hasson checked again. Rafi shipped all in which put Hasson in the tank before finally ditching his cards.

Rafi turned over {j-Hearts}{9-Spades} for top pair while Morales was still drawing live with {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Rafi held on to eliminate Morales.

Madanzhiev Doubles, Leaves Rezaei Short

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Aleksandar Tomovic raised to 2,200 from the cutoff and Armin Rezaei called on the button. Stoyan Madanzhiev three-bet to 10,000 from the big blind and only Rezaei called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Madanzhiev led out for 10,000 which Rezaei called. The turn brought the {9-Spades} and Madanzhiev fired out another bet of 15,000. Rezaei still called and the {5-Hearts} completed the board.

Madanzhiev shoved all in for 48,300 and Rezaei asked for a count and took a minute before making the call. Madanzhiev turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for two pair while Rezaei was forced to show his {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for a smaller two pair.

Sitbon Doubles to Stay Alive

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Julien Sitbon
Julien Sitbon

Julien Sitbon raised it up from under the gun and Sonny Franco three-bet from the cutoff. The action folded back to Sitbon who called to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle with Sitbon being at risk for 31,000.

Julien Sitbon: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Sonny Franco: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The {2-Hearts} on the turn provided no help for Sitbon but the {8-Diamonds} on the river made his flush as he doubled up to stay alive.
