Another Double Knockout for Schaefer

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Rafael Schaefer
Rafael Schaefer

Michael Magalashvili was all-in for just 7,400 and that was called by Rafael Schaefer. Narcis Nedelcu then pushed for 27,600 behind and Schaefer reluctantly called.

Michael Magalashvili: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Narcis Nedelcu: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Rafael Schaefer: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

"Keep it low," Magalashvili asked in table chat but the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board left him drawing dead on the turn. Nedelcu was also felted as well as Schaefer turned tens full of nines.

Olsen Doubles Through Nedelcu

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Narcis Nedelcu

Four ways to the {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop, Jose Obadia checked in the big blind and Gisle Olsen did so from an early position. Matteo Di Persio bet 2,100 and Narcis Nedelcu raised to 6,000. Obadia tanked for a short while and they called the clock on him, he then folded.

Olsen called and Di Persio folded.

After the {3-Spades} turn, Olsen jammed for 16,000 and Nedelcu called.

Gisle Olsen: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Narcis Nedelcu: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The {9-Clubs} river was no threat and Obadia mentioned in table chat he folded an ace-eight combo as well.

Kyritsis Goes Runner-Runner Against Pirsic

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Georgios Kyritsis
Georgios Kyritsis

A raising war on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop got the chips of Georgios Kyritsis and Miha Pirsic into the middle of the table with the former at risk.

Georgios Kyritsis: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Miha Pirsic: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The {2-Diamonds} turn gave Kyritsis the flush draw and he got there with the {k-Diamonds} river to double for 45,400.

Toth Left With Crumbs; Quadruples

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Richard Toth
Richard Toth

The cards of Richard Toth were mucked already as Nuno Miguel Ferraro Do Nascimento scored a double on a board of {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The Portuguese had tabled the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for sixes full of jacks while Toth was left with 800 chips.

One hand later, Toth was at risk and received three callers, who all checked down the {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} board. Toth's {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the six-high straight were the nuts as he quadrupled up.

Also featured on the table is Grant Hart, who has made the trips to King's Resort for international events throughout the years.

Welcome to Day 1a of the 2021 WSOPE Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha

Tournament Room at King's Resort
Tournament Room at King's Resort

The largest poker arena in Europe prepares for the second out of 15 gold bracelet events as part of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe. As of 6pm local time, Day 1a of Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha will get underway at the King's Resort in Rozvadov. Four card aficionados from near and far will enter the fray in pursuit of the most coveted jewellery in the world of poker.

A guaranteed prize pool of €200,000 awaits for this tournament and two starting days are available. The level duration for each of the two starting days is 30 minutes and the current structure includes 18 levels to be played on each Day 1. However, this may change depending on the number of entries and each Day 1 may conclude when 10% of the field has been reached. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available for the first 12 levels and following break until last 2 am local time.

The defending champion of this event is Dash Dudley, who earned his second gold bracelet back in 2019 after defeating a field of 476 total entries. Dudley participated in the 2021 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and it seems rather uncertain that he will make the trip to the Czech Republic this time. Notable finalists from two years ago include Chris Back, Paul Teoh, Oshri Lahmani, Anson Tsang and Naor Slobodskoy.

All players will start with 25,000 in chips and the first level features blinds of 100-100 with a big blind ante of 100. The registration closes with blinds of 800-1,600/1,600, last minute entrants thereafter would return to 12 and a half big blinds and a dream.

Stay tuned for the four-card action from Rozvadov as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor from start to finish.
