Fedorenko No More

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Two short stacks were all-in in four-way action and that included Denys Fedorenko and Patrick Pfeiffer. As they checked to the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades} river and the dealer asked all four players involved to show their cards. Fedorenko revealed the {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for trips fours but Pfeiffer had that beat with the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for aces full.

Dorel Eldabach had the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} on the button and the small blind tabled the {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Late Night Casualties

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Danny Covyn
Danny Covyn

Another table broke as the field was reduced to the last 48 contenders and no longer in the mix is Danny Covyn. The Belgian was among the biggest stacks not long ago but lost it all. Martin Kabrhel and Saulius Tumosa appeared to have benefited the most as they headed to their new tables with far more chips.

Blaz Zerjav: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Three Quick Eliminations

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Shortly after his double up, Pierre Mothes sent the chips all the way back to the other side of the table and Blaz Zerjav happily collected them.

Hamoun Habibi then got it in preflop with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} against Maurizio Melara with the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board gave Melara the winning flush.

Last but not least, Arkadiusz Liszewski also hit the rail as the field was cut down to 44 contenders.

Beckers Soars to a Big Stack

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a flop of {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, Ken Beckers check-raised the pot out of the big blind to 92,000 and Ioannis Papadopoulos reluctantly called after he had invested 20,000.

Beckers then jammed the {10-Hearts} turn for 174,000 and Papadopoulos was sent into the tank. He eventually called and the cards were revealed.

Ken Beckers: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Ioannis Papadopoulos: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} river secured the double for Beckers as he skyrocketed to more than half a million in chips.

Much Drama About Nothing in Last Hand

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel led the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} turn for 30,000 out of the small blind and then started his usual table talk while a small crowd gathered around. Serhii Panasiuk was in the tank and then potted to 120,000.

Kabrhel tanked, and the clock was called on him while all other tables were already bagging the chips. He then folded and Panasiuk flashed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-}.
