Stranak Takes From Yankov

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Krasimir Yankov raised to 100,000 with the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} from under the gun, which Samuel Stranak called on the button with the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}. Both players checked the {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and the {6-Spades} turn offered a flush draw to Stranak.

Yankov checked once more and Stranak bet 200,000, which forced a fold from his opponent in the final hand prior to a scheduled 15-minute break.

Medarov Pays Off Sabo

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Alan Sabo raised to 100,000 with the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and was called by Vasil Medarov in the big blind with the {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}. The {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop was checked to Sabo and he bet 225,000 for Medarov to call, which led them to the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

Medarov checked his set and Sabo checked it back to improve on the {k-Spades} river. Another check by Medarov followed and Sabo bet 350,000 to receive a quick call. Sabo immediately announced his flash and turned it over as he left Medarov on a short stack.

"If you didn't do it, I would have," Bradley mentioned in table chat to the at-risk Yankov.

Samuel Stranak: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

The next open raise to 135,000 by Amir Mozaffarian with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} was called by Ian Bradley out of the small blind with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Samuel Stranak came along out of the big blind with the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The trio headed to the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and it was checked to Mozaffarian, who bet 200,000. Only Stranak called and the {9-Hearts} followed on the turn. Stranak checked once more and Mozaffarian bet just shy of the pot for 675,000, which led to the reluctant check-shove by Stranak and snap-call by Mozaffarian.

A pot of 5,845,000 emerged and it was Stranak who had the best of it once the {q-Clubs} river with aces and queens.

Vasil Medarov Eliminated in 4th Place (€31,484)

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Vasil Medarov

Down to the last 305,000, Vasil Medarov was all-in and the overwhelming chip leader Samuel Stranak looked him up.

Vasil Medarov: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Samuel Stranak: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop gave Medarov middle set but Stranak only needed an ace to pull ahead. he got just that on the {a-Clubs} turn to leave Medarov with just the case kind as out. There was no miracle on the {3-Diamonds} river as the hot streak of Stranak continued.

Medarov laddered to fourth place, which comes with a payday of €31,484.

Bradley Flops a Boat

Level 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Alan Sabo limped the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Ian Bradley potted to 180,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, which was called by Sabo. The {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop went check, check, and Sabo bet the nut flush draw on the {k-Hearts} turn for 140,000. Bradley just called with his full house and the {4-Clubs} river completed the board.

Sabo gave it some consideration and cut out a potential bet before opting to check. Bradley bet the pot and Sabo was instantly elated about his decision to then snap fold.
