Big Double for Rezaei

Level 3 : 300/500, 500 ante
Daniel Rezaei
Daniel Rezaei

With four players investing 6,600 each to the {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop, the action checked to Martin Kabrhel on the button and he bet 17,600. Daniel Rezaei called out of the small blind and Kevin Weiss check-raised to 40,200 out of the big blind. Pierre Trauer folded and Kabrhel snap-folded while Rezaei called.

After the {7-Clubs} turn, Rezaei check-called for 60,000 and jammed the {q-Hearts} river for the last 20,400. Weiss snap-called to get shown the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for queens full and mucked his {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for jacks full in disgust. He was left with 12,700 and busted shortly after.

Quattrucci Eliminates Kabrhel

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Dario Quattrucci raised it up in the hijack and Martin Kabrhel three-bet from the small blind. Quattrucci replied with a four-bet to 32,000 and Kabrhel called.

The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Kabrhel checked to Quattrucci who slid out a large stack of chips. Kabrhel quickly called off his stack of around 35,000 and the cards were tabled.

Martin Kabrhel: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Dario Quattrucci: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Kabrhel flopped two pair but Quattrucci held the only flush draw. The {k-Spades} on the turn completed Quattrucci's flush and the {6-Spades} on the river sent Kabrhel to the rail. After being the first player eliminated today, Quattrucci now has one of the largest stacks in the tournament.

Zhao Feng
Zhao Feng

Zhao Feng raised to 1,000 in middle position and Phi Nguyen three-bet to 4,000 from the small blind. Feng called and the flop fell {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Nguyen led out 5,200 and Feng raised to 17,200 which Nguyen called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Nguyen checked this time. Feng pushed all in, putting Nguyen to the test for his remaining 48,000 chips. Nguyen went into the tank for nearly five minutes before finally making the call.

Feng flipped over {7-Spades}{4-Spades} for bottom two pair while Nguyen held {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Nguyen still had some outs but the {9-Diamonds} on the river was not one of them, as he headed to the rail and Feng collected the pot.

With 8,000 to the middle on the {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Boban Zhivkovikj check-called a bet worth 3,500 by Andrea Ricci and the {10-Diamonds} turn was checked by both players. Welcome to Day 1a of the 2021 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event

Alexandros Kolonias Wins the 2019 WSOPE Main Event
Alexandros Kolonias Wins the 2019 WSOPE Main Event

The highlight of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe festival awaits as the highly anticipated €10,350 Main Event gets underway on Friday, December 3, 2021. As of 10 a.m. local time, poker enthusiasts from near and far will be heading to Europe's biggest poker arena at the King's Resort in Rozvadov, all with the dream of becoming the next WSOPE Main Event champion.

The flagship tournament of the series comes with a €5,000,000 guarantee and several hundred players have won their seats throughout the last few years, as international competitions at the King's Resort awarded Main Event seats as part of the prize pool in selected events. This makes for a strong indication that there will once more be a strong turnout for the €10,350 buy-in, which headlines the final week of the festival.

The WSOP Europe Main Event has been taking place since 2007 and was held in London during the first four editions with alternating locations thereafter. Since 2017, the King's Resort has been home to the series and will host it for the fourth time after a one year hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic. Previous winners include such big names as John Juanda, Barry Shulman, Phil Hellmuth, and Adrian Mateos. Then 18-year-old Annette Obrestad made history in the very first edition to become the only female winner of a WSOPE Main Event so far.

All three editions at the King's Resort have attracted more than 500 entries. Online qualifier Marti Roca de Torres was the first to triumph in 2017 followed by Jack Sinclair. The defending champion is Greek High Roller regular Alexandros Kolonias, who topped a field of 541 entries. Nrither Roca de Torres nor Kolonias have been spotted in WSOP gold bracelet events during the ongoing festival so far, however, Sinclair has already been in the mix and will certainly aim to win the title for a second time.
