Family Pot

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 150,000 ante

There haven't been many family pots among the final three, though one small pot just took place between the trio.

It happened when Michael Rocco limped the button and Ben Farrell did the same from the small blind. Michael Dyer checked his option from the big and the flop came down {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Two checks saw Rocco bet 450,000 and that did the trick as both Farrell and Dwyer ditched their hands.

Dyer Shoves the Turn

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 150,000 ante

Michael Dyer raised to 700,000, Michael Rocco three-bet to 1,750,000 and Dyer made the call. After both players checked to the turn on a board of {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} Rocco bet 1,000,000. Dyer re-counted his stack, paused for a moment and then moved all in. Rocco wasted no time in folding his hand.

One for Farrell

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 150,000 ante

Michael Rocco limped the button and Ben Farrell did the same from the small blind. Michael Dyer checked his option from the big and the flop fell {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Two checks saw Rocco bet 300,000 and only Farrell called to see the {8-Diamonds} turn. Farrell then check-called a bet of 450,000 before action went check-check on the {3-Spades} river.

Farrell showed the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and it was good as Rocco mucked his cards.

Dyer Doubles Through Farrell

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 150,000 ante

Michael Dyer moved all in, and after confirming the total of 3,575,000 Ben Farrell made the call.

Michael Dyer: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Ben Farrell: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The runout of {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts} secured the double-up for Dyer and left Farrell as the short stack.

Ben Farrell Eliminated in 3rd Place ($239,789)

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 150,000 ante
Ben Farrell
Ben Farrell

Ben Farrell moved his last 2.5 million all in from the small blind and Michael Dyer wasted little time in calling him from the big.

Ben Farrell: {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Michael Dyer: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop gave Dyer a massive lead and Farrell was left drawing dead after the {j-Spades} paired the board on the turn. The meaningless {9-Hearts} was run out on the river and Farrell exited in third place for $239,789.

It was a final six-figure score for Farrell in 2019. Coming into the tournament he was already enjoying a career year in which he'd earned $663,363 in live tournaments. That included a pair of six-figure scores here in Vegas over the summer when he won the WPT500 ARIA for $155,000 and a couple of weeks later took down the Planet Hollywood Goliath Phamous Series Main Event for $162,400.
