Wynn Poker Trophy
Wynn Poker Trophy

Welcome to the Wynn Las Vegas for Day 2 of the $1,600 buy-in Wynn Spring Classic $1 million guarantee.

Following three starting flights that attracted a total of 687 entrants, just 171 players survived into Day 2. Day 1A saw 30 players survive from the 113-entrant flight, while Day 1B saw 57 players survive from the 225-entrants. On Day 1C, a total of 349 entrants would see just 84 players survive the final flight as the 687-entrant field created a prize pool of $1 million.

With 171 players returning for action, all eyes will be on firstly reaching the money as the top 71 players will finish in-the-money with a guaranteed $3,760 in prize money. Reaching the final table of nine players will ensure players of $19,062 in prize money, while topping the field will the eventual winner the $189,485 first-place prize and the Wynn Spring Classic trophy.

The player best-positioned to make a run at the first-place prize is overall chip leader Terry Fleischer who finished with 400,000 chips on Day 1B.

The Las Vegas resident has amassed over $1.93 million in lifetime tournament earnings with tournament results dating back to 2001. Fleischer has collected 32 victories in his career - four of these being for six-figure scores. Fleischer’s best result is amazingly in this very event last year when he defeated the 982-entrant field to capture the $184,376 first-place prize.

The remaining 171 players will be kicking the action off with blinds at 1,000-2,000 and a 2,000-big blind ante. Day 2 calls for ten 60-minute levels before play concludes for the night.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on the floor of the Wynn Las Vegas poker room providing exclusive live updates of all the Wynn Spring Classic $1 million guarantee action. So stay tuned to PokerNews .com to see who collects the next Wynn Spring Classic trophy.
