Ragone Doubles Through Wilke

Level 32 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Evan Sandberg opened to 500,000 from middle position, Dennis Wilke called in the cutoff, and Filippo Ragone jammed for 3.95 million in the small blind. Sandberg folded and Wilke called.

Filippo Ragone: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Dennis Wilke: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop gave Ragone a set and Wilke was drawing dead on the {2-Hearts} turn. The {j-Hearts} completed the board and Ragone's rail went wild with cheers and chants as he doubled up.

Dennis Wilke jammed in the small blind and Hwany Lee called in the big blind for his remaining chips.

Hwany Lee: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Dennis Wilke: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Lee was sent to the payout desk as he couldn't improve. However, he also already claimed a $100,000 and a $50,000 bounty prize earlier to end the day with a huge combined score.

Arturas Astrauskas opened to 675,000 in middle position and Guillaume Diaz three-bet to 1.525 million from the cutoff. Astrauskas then jammed, and Diaz called.

Arturas Astrauskas: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Guillaume Diaz: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop got everyone to take notice, as Diaz flopped a set and Astrauskas flopped Broadway. A player called out "jack of diamonds" as the {4-Clubs} came on the turn, and the dealer then put down the {j-Diamonds} to give Diaz a boat and knock out Astrauskas in eighth.

Bryan Piccioli Eliminated in 7th Place ($42,380)

Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Bryan Piccioli
Bryan Piccioli

With about 2 million in the middle and a flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Bryan Piccioli checked in the big blind and Guillaume Diaz bet 650,000 in early position. Piccioli jammed in his stack and Diaz thought about it and called.

Bryan Piccioli: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Guillaume Diaz: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Diaz was ahead with top pair but Piccioli had middle pair and a flush draw. The {5-Hearts} turn wasn't what he needed, and neither was the {7-Hearts} as he graciously made his way to the payout desk and Diaz added to his massive stack.
