Roxanne Johnson
Live ReporterRoxanne Johnson is a Canadian poker player and live reporter with a deep passion for the game and its endless opportunities for growth and learning. After retiring from her role as a court liaison with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, she immersed herself in poker study and began building her tournament experience online and live.
Her poker journey has included a PokerStars Women’s Bootcamp trip to Prague, where she won a Platinum Pass package to compete in the prestigious PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship in the Bahamas.
Johnson has since combined her love of poker and storytelling as a live reporter for PokerNews at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, where she is now in her fourth season covering the action. She also covers Women’s Poker Week events in Las Vegas in partnership with the Women’s Poker Association. Inspired by the growing interest in poker among women in her community, Johnson also teaches beginner players in her hometown, encouraging an aggressive and confident approach to the game both on and off the felt.
