Roxanne Johnson

Roxanne Johnson is a PokerNews Live Reporter and is a proud Canadian. Born in Fernie and raised in Nelson, British Columbia, she currently lives in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

Roxanne started her career as an entrepreneur and then joined the government to work as a Court Liaison with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police writing court reports. Roxanne decided that more joyful and active jobs would suit her personality better. She has since been experiencing jobs in the hospitality industry, including pursuing her sommelier ticket and working as a wine connoisseur.

In her earlier years, Roxanne was somehow welcomed into the “old boys clubs” to play poker and learned a lot from her senior buddies.

Since then, Roxanne traveled to Prague and competed in a Women’s Bootcamp Tournament, which won her a Platinum Pass to The Bahamas. Roxanne loves the strategies and intricacies of poker and learns about it every chance she gets.
