All Hail Julius, WSOP-C Hammond Bubble Boy

Kyle Julius
Kyle Julius

Richard Rockwood raised from under the gun to 10,000. Ryan Julius reraised all in for roughly 60,000 from the hijack seat. After action moved its way back around the table to Rockwood, he got an approximate count and then made the call. The cards weren't turned over right away as the tournament was in hand-for-hand play and needed to wait for the other tables to finish up action first. This took several minutes as there was a hand playing out a few tables over involving Allen Bari and Anthony Roviso...

On the board of {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, Bari was tanking for several minutes after Roviso shoved all in for 104,000. Bari tanked and tank while Julius had to wait his fate 20 feet away. Eventually, Bari mucked his hand and eyes moved back over to the all-in showdown between Rockwood and the at-risk Julius.

Julius tabled the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} against the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for Rockwood and was racing for his tournament life. The flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} was clean, but the {K-Diamonds} on the turn gave Rockwood the lead in the hand. After the {6-Spades} paired the board on the river, it was all said and done. Julius hit the rail in 91st place and finished as the official bubble boy to the WSOP Circuit Hammond Main Event.
