Dehkharghani Sends Buchanan to the Rail

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Action folded to Brian Tate, who hails from Chandler, Arizona, and he raised to 2,400 from the button. Canada's Shawn Buchanan, who only had 1,600 remaining, called off from the small blind and then Ray Dehkharghani three-bet from the big blind. Tate called that bet and it was heads-up action for the side pot headed to the {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop.

Dehkharghani bet, Tate called and the dealer burned and turned the {J-Hearts}. Again Dehkharghani bet, but this time Tate got rid of his hand. Dehkharghani tabled the {j-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair and Buchanan, who was drawing dead, flipped over the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} before grabbing his things and beelining it out of the tournament area. The meaningless {10-Clubs} was run out on the river for good measure and Dehkharghani was pushed the pot.

Meanwhile, Brian Meinders and Andrey Zaichenko, who were both nursing short stacks, have been eliminated from the tournament.
