Huge Pot as Spindler Grabs the Lead

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With less than half an hour to play a huge pot has just gone down.

Anatoly Filatov the big stack opened for 32,000 from the button and Vitaly Lunkin raised it up from the small blind to 80,000. The aggressive Benny Spindler with the second biggest stack then made a cold-four bet from the big blind to 220,000 and Filatov responded by moving all in.

Lunkin looked dismayed at what was occurring in front of him and angrily laid down his hand after a few seconds. Spindler instantly called and tabled his {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} to the disbelief of Filatov who had {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Lunkin claimed to have folded {q-}{q-}.

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and the aces held to give Spindler a massive stack and push a distraught Filatov back down the field.
